for your sub go on ebay get a hifonics HF series 1500 watt amp for under $187 with free shipping it will do 500 watts @ 4ohms 1000 watts @ 2 ohms and 1500 watts @ 1 ohm all you need for your fosgate sub

check to see if the stereo is grounded

you would probably have to take your amp to a technician to have it bypassed then run external eq like a audiocontrol trunk mount or something thats what i did I had a old school soundtream rubicon it was a class a/b amp it had a filters for bass frequencys and i wanted to use it for my mids and highs so i had it bypassed because there was no way to shut it off plus the tech was my buddy i dont know if techs will do that for costumers

get a used referbished dell latitude laptop on ebay you can get one for around $350 to $450 its all you need plenty fast enough and way better build heavy duty compared to those flimsy walmart laptops for the same price save yourself the money for your woofers and amps i never buy a new laptop for $900 thats crazy

are thay single voice coil or dual if there dual and your hooking them up to only one set of voice coils that can cause it to smell stop you will toest the woofer need to hook up both sets of coils
