  2. yea. that is nothing for cans. I got way more laying around... My living room was full of cans, then I packed them in this huge rubbermade container to move them into the kitchen. not to mention the ones already in my kitchen and bedroom, and dinning room....... I cleaned up my empty dew boxes yesturday and I had 11 empty 12 packs in my fridge, not to mention at least double that chilling under my kitchen table... My house is kinda bad atm, but getting cleaner slowly but surly..
  3. you work 5 to 6 days a week, 12 hours a day, and tell me how much you feel like cleaning....

  6. Alright so about a month ago my mom contacts me asking if I still got my upstairs apartment availble. I told her yes and she gave my number to a guy she knows from the bar. Well this guy moved in about 3 weeks ago. All I know about him is he likes to party, and he is a roofer... Today Im in and out of my house, working on my crossovers bypassing the protection circuits and what not. I come into the house after doing some testing on some older crossovers before I mess up my nicer 3ways. This old 40 year old man starts bumping LIL JON!!!!! Im sitting here thinking to myself hell no! So I then turn my stereo on. four 15s for the win. I played a little lil jon, then threw some jeezy up in his face. I then turned mine down for a few minutes to see if he has anything to come back at me with. I then here Three 6 mafia and icp 'just another crazy clik' I go and search my music and start playing the same song. After about 10 minutes of some fun I go back out and get my door panels put back on, and here he comes walking out the door (heading to the brat fry at the bar up the road). He says to me " I must shake your hand, I was just listening to some tunes and then my cigarette pack just vibrated right off my endtable". He said he had some jensen towers up there, but that is only half of it, then asked what I had and I told him four 15s, and then I told him that if he wants to play, ill re buy back my other 4 matching 15s making it 8, and he said its all good. Then he asked about my car, so again I put on some jeezy ' i do it for my hood' and he just said thats too much and that I had the ground shacking... I wish I brought my camera outside with me for this, but I got a lil video from the inside battle if interested
  7. yea, there are "vents" through out your car, no matter the make or model. they are on the floor panels. They are to drain water and allow your car to breath. from my understanding they will drain any laying water out, and allow air to come in, but not water come in. But most of the time these get rusted and crack creating leaking problems. Id take pictures, but mine are all sound deadened over so.. but I may have a pic someplace.
  8. yea. and if its not sucking the lid down tight you can take it off, then unscrew the motor on it, and turn the gears by hand a little bit, then put the motor back on it. depending which way you turn it, your trunk will either suck down more, or not as much. another thing I would check if your car has a sunroof/moonrood. If so there are little tubes that run down. There are 2 tubes that go down your a pillers ( one on each side) then another 2 more tubes that go down the rear of the car down the c pillers by the rear window, which normally go through your trunk and drain out someplace around the rear wheels. I had a problem with my trunk getting wet and that was the problem. one tube was out of the whole, and the other tube in the trunk had a bad seal. A tube of caulk fixed it up good.
  9. Thats what Im saying! Keep us updated with your build log on this amp. Ive havent even seen people with 1 let alone 4. Kinda interested to see what this thing does
  10. Great seller! I was talking to him on aim a few weeks back and he mentioned that he makes custom cables. So I put a order in for 4 sets of 20 foot rca's and a 3 foot rca. He said they where all tested and worked (havent used them yet, but have no reason to doubt him). Cables are sheilded double loomed excellent craftsmanship and are looking dead sexy! Thanks bro!
  11. I have heard alot of stories about them solo x's. The stories almost makes me never want to buy them, not that I would anyways since theres other things i want to try once i toast my dd's. I have heard 2 18" solo x's a few times. Theres a guy in my city that has them, we are kinda battling back and forth (he is who I bought my bd1000.1 from) He is only pushing a rf t20001 bd per solo x. It sounds some what decent, and he is bassracing a 148.x in a suburban. Tho the subs sound kind of sloppy they do get loud for being underpowered.
  12. if it is true that this guy does have 4 of these amps and 4 solo x's he can easily burp the subs with more rms power then the subs peak at. pretty much all higher end/priced speakers will take a 10,000 watt burp like nothing. DD 9500,9900 dc level 5s fi btls kicker solo x re mt re xxx atomic I know im forgetting alot, but that shall give you an idea.
  13. Im going to also call the BS flag on him. Why? Because If he really did have 4 of them amps, there would be proof such as pics, or videos on one forum or another. and yet I have seen nothing about it on SMD, ROE, TERMPRO, ***, or SOUNDPRESSURE. And really, If he could be blowing all 3 of his windows out, Id be filming that for bragging rights.... Not to mention, only $800 for wire? Jesh, I got almost that much spend in wiring alone, and I am not even pushing 4 amps or 4 subs.. Im going to use steve meade for a example, everyone who is anyone knows that steve is installing 8 btls and 2 of them RF amps, word spread so fast online. I feel that word should of spread this quick about this guys setup too
  14. yea, like i said i thought it was just plastic, ive never seen one in person, you have, so you would know. thanks for that info
  15. alright, ive never messed with those, so Im not sure. I just know they use formers, so there
  16. Looks like Im seeing mostly plastic former in that picture. And yes Im sure they do glue them good and all, not saying that they dont. Mine was built to stand up to pure power. I even got some crazy ass coils in mine. Thick square wire around my voice coil? DDs are not the only ones who do it, lots of other companies do it. Im just using companies that I remember seeing pics of. I think a seen a few DCs like that too, but couldnt find pics earlier. Theres a few reasons, but Im not sure on what they all are, but a flatter cone will take up a little less air space inside the box, different frequency response, and I want to say they are louder
  17. Broke from buying gear to power them dd subs.. Altho Im interested in that c4 kinda. not sure on my money situation at the moment tho.
  18. Im just using Digital Design subs as an example because thats what I have on hand and run. Here are two fried cones/spiders/coils. These are just the basic kevlar blended paper cones with carbon fiber dustcaps. The 15 inch on the left was toasted after about 45 seconds on a 480 volt electrical outlet (coils wired in parallel 1 ohm). The 12 on the right just took many years of abuse and finally gave out. The pictures I posted above was my 12 inch speaker and same magnet in both pics just for a comparison on how small the magnet looks on the 18 inch basket The former is used on speakers that offer different cones and when the cone is not at a big enough pitch the former is thrown in the mix to extend the cone to the spider for more support. no former on these. Tc sounds also uses formers on sub of their subs. Pics curtisy of bass14 TC-1000 12 inch But their formers are not caked in glue like mine are. But then again I told DD that I was wanting to push 4-5Krms per sub.
  19. yea, if only I had 4 to wall off instead of 2  But I guess your best bet would be to contact other companies like FI, DC, and whoever else that makes recones for other subs, you may get lucky you may not. Good luck
  20. and what I mean by pitch, is the angel that the cone is. I guess its kind of hard to explain so Ill use one of my DDs as a example. My stock cones on my dd are more V shaped. The bottom of the cone goes completly down to the spider. PIC: Now when I had it reconed into a 18. the basket/fram for the 18 was too tall for the composite cone which is not at a big pitch compaired to the stock kevlar blended cone. So dd used a "former" to extend to the cone to the spider. PIC: The former is covered in black glue so it wont come apart
  21. the looks of a basket is nothing to go by. You need the dimensions of the voice coil, the depth of the gap in the motor and the gap. These are things you most likely wont know unless you contact RD or have a digital caliper to test the gaps and sizes yourself. Then after you get all that said and done, you will need to find a matching recone with thos specs, as well as a cone with the same pitch angle, and a matching spider diam, and length of the coil. If the newer coil is too long from the other company, but fits, it will bottom out and break. I know fi does make recones for some other companies such as RE, but that is because they are almost idenical speakers with the gaps and what not. So another words one subs cone/coil/spider with a 3 inch coil, will not fit into another magnet that also has a 3 inch coil. But it is possibal for one sub with a completly different looking basket/frame to fit into another subs basket/frame, as long as the cone/coil/and spiders are correct.
  22. Im thinking the samething. Them pics are just making it that much easier to grab a roundtrip ticket for the weekend and go see my ex
  23. I thought you would of known this by now.. A torch is only so tough, but not tough enough for that bolt. Use a Plasma cutter
