Now the coat of paint will have time to cure and set over night so I can jump to doing power wires tomorrow and have a nice clean spot to put them. Started making holes for the 2 PVC couplings that will act as a grommet for the wire, and a 3rd hole for fresh air intake if it works how i planned it to...

Took the wheels off because it be easier to run wire, also need to rotate the backs to the front. Grabbed a wire wheel for my makita right angle grinder and decided to knock off the loose rust and give it a fresh coating under neath as well.

Ha thanks! But its nothing really to special. Its just called taking your time and paying attention to detail. Seems like that is something that lacks a lot of on this forum and others like it. You got people building boxes that have over a 1/4inch over hang, gaps big enough to stick your pinky in. Then you go and take some time to educate a person and tell them how to go about making a simple fence for a circular saw and they get all pissed.. The majority of this wall is built with a damn circular saw, there is no excuse for crap cuts, period! My table saw fence only goes up to 52 inches, and the majority of my panels are over 54 long, Sure I could cut off to the left of the blade, but supporting 6+ feet of wood while making a cut by yourself isnt going to result well for the cut being straight. Anyways, Going to be pulling the rims off today here shortly to run power wire, but I may get side tracked and try to spruce up my hoes unders a little bit!

Small updates for today... So thankfully Im still able to get 9 negative runs yet to match the positive runs. At this point the sky was getting dark and looked like rain, so I used some of the crap cut off wire, taped it up to get a ruff diameter hole size i needed in the floor, cut it down on the table saw to make it all flush. Threw the wire in my passenger side seat of the truck for the time being Got in the truck and headed to menards to do some brain storming and it started to rain so the hoe got a little saw dust rinsed off her. Started to shop, pvc fittings to bring in the wire from underneth into the rear, and some other pvc tubes for a fresh air intake into the rear for amps not sure how it will work but trial and error ftw. Then I made the mistake of walking passed greatstuff, so another 30cans looked appealing to me. Also grabbed some plastic tube to extend the tube on the great stuff, some gloves, a hole saw, some sand paper for my belt sander, and some irwin wood bits that I really dont need, but ehh half off.. HA

With this top upper back piece it puts the back wall at 5.5 inches thick! But I figured 1 more layer to be safe, so here we go! And now its 6.25 inches thick on the back wall. Just trying to get ideas in my head for battery positions. Once I got some ideas out it came, and on the Noco Genius charger it went

Imageshack is slow, and if your internet is slow, its going to take a bit. I got sick of paying for Photobucket premium when it cant support a cell phone cameras native resolution and your album takes forever to load. The only downfall about Imageshack is it takes a minute to load pictures when you got 159ish photos in one build log at 3+ MB in size each.

I did these in sections because they where getting very heavy, and working by yourself there is no way to do it as 1 full piece. I think it was almost 2 full sheets of 97inch by 49inch 3/4 inch MDF that I ripped down into strips to get an idea on their weight. This picture shows current sag going on with whats currently in the vehicle for wood alone. This picture shows about how much more it will drop once batteries, woofers, amps, baffles all get added.. Just sanding all the excessive glue off the strips New tan carpeting!! A dusty me! Sanding on rear wall looking ok and ready for the next layer Its raining again so that means break time...

Front battery Toolmaker terminals from CJ18 A whole lot of 2.5 by .75 inch mdf strips to add more strength to the rear wall. Once these are in place brings the rear wall up to 4inches thick. Still need to put another 3/4 inch sheet over these yet, and at least 2 more layers in the back which should make it 6.25 inches thick, may go for 7inches, gotta be sure to leave room for batteries however.

For under the hood or what? iirc the XP series batteries are not meant for starting batteries under the hood due to heat related issues and are meant to be used as supplemental battery. You would want to look at the D series, and your best bet would be a d3400 which fits the factory location perfect iirc. You could also use a S series battery too which is almost identical to the D series.

No it does not, but really a kerfed port is nothing more than a traditional slotted port. You just have to take into consideration the needed added port length because only part of the kerf on the port opening is counted for port length.

I seem to have no problem.. Cant fly a jet the best, but then again I never really fly jets. Im sure if I used them I could get good at them, but just something that never interested me.
