    i loved my aq 1200d when i had it in my truck. at 1ohm on a 66amp alt it only pulled my voltage down to 12.5 on a strong low note and thats with a shitty battery too.

    with a better box it should get louder and on a lower frequency if done right thats close to what my 12 on 1200 watts was doing and mine was at 32hz peak...

    but it is the most common way. if you hear the sub bottoming out or you know its playing below tuning letting it basically free air your going to turn it down.
