  1. x3...they were just "artsy."
  2. x2!!! That would impress me a hell of a lot more than 2 shathammers.
  3. Hahaha "like steve's." good one. One other thing, why go with 5 4000's and 2 2000's? Why not 6 4000's?
  4. No 300 watts per sub equals 600 watts total. So you need an amp that can put out around 600 watts. Or you could under power them.
  5. Agreed. Unless youre going for wow factor, I'd go with some BTL's or Solo X's. Not saying it wouldnt be loud, but it can be done cheaper and easier.
  6. Alpine MRD 605 would suit you nicely. 600 watts at 2 ohms. Thats the first one that comes to my mind.
  7. oh wow. what are you gonna be doing with 24000 watts??
  8. In parallel. Fuse between each battery.
  9. 99.9% sure thats for one. Those are bitchin subs. If they were 650 for all 4 theyd be sold in two seconds.
  10. I would stick with 18-20 feet as a good starting point. You'll have a good amount of slack this way.
  11. I've never really had any sort of vision blur...It's seemed like I have, but it's just the mirrors shaking that tricks me into thinking my eyes are shaking. And it's hard to breathe in my car, so it's not like it's not hitting hard.
  12. Never got around to it! My brother decided his $300 was better spent on a dog. Which he now regrets and is going to sell to a friend of his. So he might want to go back to the system, we'll see. But I'll be using this setup if he wants to do one.
  13. Haha you do that. Hopefully I can get it done, I just need the components themselves so I can get to work.
  14. I'd nominate myself...but it'll be next month maybe once I get my front stage in at least and carpet my box.
  15. Yes. The size of your alternator.
  16. Same here actually. I hear all the time how much bondo brand resin/fiberglass/body filler sucks and I should get better stuff, but I've never had a problem with it! Plus it's really easy to find, and cheap too. For the "nothing crazy" caliber of work I normally do, bondo's fine for me. Sorry, got way off topic. Back on track.
  17. K cool, I normally have done just separate pieces on each side. Looks okay, but definitely not as clean, and doesnt work with rounded edges. I'll be going this route next time I'm carpeting.
  18. Wow that carpet really looks nice; I like how the port merges with the sub cutouts. Nice job as always Steve! When you carpet, do you use scissors to cut the carpet hanging off the sides into 4 pieces, and then overlap/slice? That's what it looks like I just wanted to make sure.
  19. Facing forward with sealed off trunk. Facing backward can have cancellation issues.
  20. Stop. He manned up and apologized. Do the same.
  21. Well definitely get an exhaust on there, wankles sound wiiicked good
  22. Horsepower, not torque. And very little bottom end. Because of the lack of torque, not very fuel efficient....but fun as hell to drive!
  23. x2! This song hits real nicely, so fun to rock out to haha
  24. cmon alpine! thats the steve meade pose! He always has the subs sitting above their respective holes, lookin tough! Look through the builds, most have the a form of that posture. you cant eff with it
