i'm not too worried about future company plans cause like i said it's just a temporary setup but i want quality for now and power for now. So far i'm leanin on the RF but i'd like some more opinions
-
Thanks! anyone else wanna chime in?

I've been without an amp for almost a month now cause i can't find a decent one to power my temporary setup. I have a pair of Rockford Fosgate Power T1 12s in a ported box that i need to get some power through. I've got a decision between the Rockford T10001BD and the US Amps MD2D. Anyone have a suggestion and/or opinion? All are welcome and appreciated.

Road house was a good movie, damn my dad just turned 55, kinda scary and really puts shit into perspective. RIP Swayze -
well 16v is out of the question, like i told chino, my powermaster is almost near brand new and the AC system in my truck was fixed with a new compressor about 2 years ago and there isn't much room for a bracket for a secondary alternator so i'm kinda sittin tight with what i have. As you can see in my signature i've got plenty of battery bank and if i keep the motor around 2500 rpm the powermaster is pushing 216 amps so i should have the juice, i just don't want to waste more money after my MTX fiasco.
-
What ended up being the problem with your amp? That is quite the time period but i guess if you want a quality piece you have to wait for quality work, how much did it cost you to get it repaired? And what would you consider a "good deal" on an amp like this that is used?
-
I've got 4-12" Rockford T1s for one setup and an 18"BTL for another setup. i just blew my MTX amp up for the 4th and final time (I'm done sending those #$%@heads money) I'm looking for a new amp and happened across a Memphis Mojo 16-MCD4KW that chino is selling. Any opinions from the gallery on how this would work out? I have the electrical to back it so that's not my worry, i just don't want to miss spend my money, since i've done enough of that already (IE my MTX screw ups) Any and all input is welcome and greatly appreciated.

thickest MDF
kryptonite replied to tahoexfixssd's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
There used to be a company that could make you any thickness mdf you wanted here in buffalo, they could also give it to you in different colors like orange, green, blue, purple, red, etc. I don't remember when they went out of business but they could make up to 4" or something like that. That'd be such a bitch to cut -

I just want to let you know that not everyone who works at Advance Auto Parts is as big a dumbass as that guy is, i feel embarassed to know that there are people that work in the same company as me that make me look bad too. i'm sorry for your misfortune at the store and i do hope you continue to shop there, just refrain from talking with that douchebag.

MLA Install made my headlights flutter
kryptonite replied to kryptonite's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
The lights are just the standard factory lights, soon to be HID with custom projector lamps. My big 3 grounding is directly to a freshly cleaned frame rail so try re-cleaning the grounding point. My tension also bounces around alot since it's original from 2000 when the truck was built, so i'm gonna change that out and see if thats whats up with it. -

I sent a message to MLA here on the forum and they replied back to me asking when i bought it, i told them that i bought it second hand and that i cut the pre-terminated ends off already so i know it's not under warranty, but if it's fixable than i might think about it, otherwise i'd rather just spend the coin and get the switchable module next. -

I disconnected the MLA module from the alternator and just had the alternator on it's own and the fluttering went away. I know the grounding point for the module is a solid contact so i'm thinking the module is bad. Last time i buy anything used i guess. -

it's already been in for several months. As for pics, they are a no go, digi has gone missing somehow. Best description is the mla is mounted on the inner fender lip in the engine bay, the grounding point is bolted up to another factory grounding point. The harness from the MLA goes down the fend about 10" and snakes up the air intake to the alternator. -

well i swapped the wires and it still does the same thing, my next thing to do is regrind out the grounding point, but it's grounded to a factory ground spot for the truck electrical. The alternator i have is a Powermaster 200 amp that's built for the truck. I don't have my system back in yet, i'm still in the design stages for both boxes unfortunately. i'll try to get some pics up tomorrow after work. But i figure that i'd just use some quick disconnects and just connect the mla when i'm goin to bassoffs or if i'm cruisin around or something, but for now it's not seeing anything over the vehicle load. This is pissing me off cause i bought it second hand and the person i bought it from said it worked when he had it. it's working just making my lights flutter, piss me the hell off! -

could it be something as simple as swapping the wires from one side to the other? I dont want my electrical to blow up on me
