  1. Take a look at the Big 3 stickies, that'll give you some ideas as to what else you should do
  2. This build is gonna be crazy. We all knew it was gonna happen though, Steve couldn't let another vehicle have more power than his.
  3. Good deal man, gotta start somewhere right? When ur going to be getting your electrical go to www.delcity.net It's the cheapest i've seen for copper lugs for any gauge wire, plus they have TONS AND TONS of other gear that is at great prices. I bought 20 1/0 ring terminals for $9 from them. Only shitty part is you have to have a $25 minimum order, but hey, with all the stuff they have, you could spends hundreds lol
  4. You are correct sir! that'll be your best bet. Now, do you plan on doing 1/0 throughout the entire system or just for the big 3?
  5. sorry mang, didn't mean to steal ur thunder, great minds think alike though right? haha
  6. Use the biggest wire you can find, most guys use 1/0, you shouldn't need more than that. The fuse is there to protect the wire so you'll want to get a 300amp fuse with a corresponding fuse holder. I used all Knukonceptz gear accept for my wire, i use kicker hyperflex, only because i got it for a steal of a price. Here is a link for the fuse holder: http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.c...0Fuse%20Holders There is actually a few stickies in the electrical-battery-alternators-wiring main page to tell you and show you how to correctly run and connect the wiring. Rangers are easy to do the Big 3 on but take your time, don't cut any corners and you should do just fine!
  7. LOL not to mention he's just jealous cause Steve's setup was THE SHIT, is THE SHIT, and will continue to be THE SHIT! The suspense is killing me!
  8. I might have to put my build on hold for my ranger, might steal some fresh ideas off ya steve! this is gonna be INSANE!!
  9. yeah, when i heard about the magnet i was amazed. I'd love to have 4 of them in a wall in my truck
  10. they aren't listed on the website as available, he said it was only the second pair ever made or something
  11. So i was up at the local cruise night and my buddy's friend came up with his Grand Prix. I wasn't expecting much but god damn was i wrong. He showed up with a pair of DC LVL 5 10" subs! I was blown away at how loud they are. He only had around 3300 watts going to them, short one amp (apparently on it's way). I thought i was sittin in an suv with a wall of 15s. I can honestly say i've never heard anything that loud in my life, in person. DC should def. make them available to the world, not just "if ur lucky custom build" DAMN GOOD PRODUCT!!!
  12. Don't give up mang, keep at it, persistence pays off in the end. x3 and keep at it, you get that degree
  13. hell yeah, that's half the fun in my opinion. i heard they are more efficient, i don't know for sure. but i think i'm gonna try it out with the slot port, do you think that's too much port area for that, or should i narrow it? widen it? I'm lookin at 10"x13.5"x37.75" long
  14. You ain't kiddin, they probably woke up a volcano or two haha. Now you got me on the fence about the port, aeros or slot? Damn man decisions decisions
  15. I did a quick check on the port dimensions and if i was to make the slot port the easiest way possible, the depth of my box would be 15". Taking into account the side walls i'm down to 13.5" Using that as a port dimension i bumped out the height of the port to be 10", putting me at 37.75" for a 29 hz tune, sound about right? Gotcha my bad
  16. I could, i mean i heard that aeros are more efficient? i don't mind slot ports, that's all i've ever built so far. I'm also on the fence about tuning, should i tune it low like a 29 or should i go a smidge higher to like a 35-36? it is only going to be a daily skull crusher
  17. So the 14.25 per 6" tube would work good since they are longer than a single 5" port, especially since i'm mainly playing bass and rap
  18. Yeah man, lemme know if you come up with somethin, i'm cookin it up in my head, probably draw it out tomorrow and see where it gets me. I looked it up and dual 6" aeros tuned to 32 hz would make each port ~14.25 long, which i could live with, anything to move air and beat the hell out of my truck
