  1. too many variables to tell you exactly what it can do, what car is it? how good is the box design? for all we know it can do a 150 or it can do a 130, it all depends.
  2. no problem, anything to help a member out.
  3. wire them in parallel as shown on this site, that is option 1 http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=22
  4. ummm we switched out from kicker CVX's to the DC lvl 4's with lvl 5 upgrades, the difference is night and day, even though we kept the amp at 2 ohm (1500rms) for both subs it's louder than the CVX's and it's tuned lower on the gains and the bass boost is off, with the CVX's the gains were at 3/4 with bass boost at 1/4, the previous guy that tuned it didn't know what he was doing. with the DC's we left the amp at a bit less than half, bass boost off, and it hurts inside. the quarter panels flex like crazy when its hot outside, i'll try to get a video up of it this afternoon as i'm in the middle of class right now. they sound much cleaner and louder than the CVX's too, they don't get muddy like the CVX's do at high volume like most people say, which is true imo.
  5. I can't wait man, gonna get sooo many demos, i'll be at the orlando show also, should be a bit bigger than slamfest imo. Bigger as in people attending, custom cars and trucks or just spl entries? I was thinking bigger as in spl cars since it's the state finals, show cars i'm not quite sure, we'll have to wait and see I guess.
  6. x2 anything that's higher than their hfi series is good, sure it's not DC, sundown, stetsom, etc etc but sure as hell are not bad amps, best bang for your buck if you ask me, they've had their fair share of huge amps in the past also.
  7. i've heard of a few people running the old BXI amps at .5 without problems, I should be getting the BRZ2400.1 within the next two weeks and I plan on running it at .5 for shows and 2 daily i'll let you know how it goes.
  8. I can't wait man, gonna get sooo many demos, i'll be at the orlando show also, should be a bit bigger than slamfest imo.
  9. will you have your ride there? if so I want to get a demo! we might have the pilot there with the lvl 4's you sold me, hopefully we can get it up on a termlab at the show
  10. Just wondering out of all the bassheads here, who is going to be at slamfest at the gainesville fairgrounds on October 7th-9th, I'm going to be there, not quite sure if my ride is going to be ready by then though, please post if you're going and what car you drive so i'll remember to get a demo! i'm looking forward to seeing my fellow bassheads at this show!
  11. mehhh, either one will get you a huge power increase, there's just something about that turbo sound that makes me get all fuzzy inside hahaha, but that kenny belle whine is sexy too, flip a coin or go with whatever suits your budget better.
  12. I think he's referring to an old school memphis sub that's very rare
  13. clean build man, loving it, I bet it wangs with those L7's too, especially on that power. keep up the good work man
  14. is that price on the rockfords shipped? edit: woops nevermind.
  15. if you learned the answer in class i'm guessing it's not made in the USA, unless you're trying to trick us
  16. i've seen multiple amps ran at .5 ohm with stock electrical. should you do it? no. I honestly don't think that audiopipe will handle it even with good electrical to back it up, it's an entry level amp, it isn't too great.
  17. if done right much louder.
  18. holy shit haha!
  19. it's not a matter of the subs working at 1 ohm it's if they are able to be wired down on the amp to 1 ohm, for example two dual 4 ohm subs can be wired down to 1 ohm on a monoblock amp, now if you run multiple amps, svc or dvc subs, there's endless possibilities depending on what kind of subs you get. edit: damn ninja's!!! always happens to me!
  20. i'm sure you've been told this already but if you really did do everything they have said and done it right maybe you're just one of those people that have a car that simply can't get loud no matter how much you mess with it, unless you do go balls out and wall the sumbitch properly haha.
  21. i'd be happy with low to mid 140's on music.
  22. thanks man, i'm sure it will be well worth the wait when we get them installed and playing, just wish I had a termlab near me to get some scores up :/
  23. thanks man, I would like some pics and vids btw!
  24. the soft parts I believe is the coil, surround, cone, and spiders, someone correct me if i'm wrong, this subs has the lvl 4 motor but with lvl soft parts as listed above ^^
