  3. ^ What these guys said. However I can't really think of anything that would cause it to spike like that then settle down to the 12.2v area. See if a neighbor or someone has a DMM you can borrow just to test if it does the same thing. If not, than it's just your DMM.
  4. it can't be very unique, or kind of unique or sort of unique, or really really unique...by definition something is either unique, or it isn't grr..you know what I meant lol Check my OP...I fixed it for you grammar and mechanics are a pet peeve of mine...even my 15 year old daughter texts using proper English. These kids who try to explain things in detail without a single comma or period really piss me off...if I can't understand what you're saying I can't help. example. Panda eats shoots and leaves (this means that the Panda eats leaves and shoots from a bamboo stalk) Panda eats, shoots and leaves (this means the Panda eats, shoots someone, then makes a quick exit) the only difference is a single comma Not trying to be a dick here, but if you're going to say grammar is a pet peeve of yours, you might want to use it properly yourself - using a capital letter at the beginning and using "example" in the correct way. Just sayin..
  5. Brock's dub is the funniest thing I've seen in ages. Can't stop watching it. Haha

  7. I've bought from them. Decent pricing and shipping time is average. Wasn't expecting much so i guess they are a good place to deal with. Although, I'm not 100% sure if it was them or some other company, but I bought brake rotors for my Explorer online and one of them was completely useless. Cracked, chipped, but I called up the company and got it sorted out. Like I said I can't remember if it was AutoAnything or not...
  8. I really like those pods up on the dash. Good contrast with the rest of the interior.
  9. I guess they only let the older guys drive the tankers? Sucks in a situation that only the young guys are there. Should talk to your chef and see if you can get trained on. It'll def look good on your part. Everybody loves fire so even though it wasn't much left when you got to the scene, I bet it was pretty sweet.
  10. What year is that tC you found? I got mine for 12 grand and it's an '07. And are you talking about that guy with the black tC with red vinyl? I just saw that thread yesterday in the member builds. Might have gone a few pages back. Good luck with your buy and build. You'll love the car. I'm glad you think so. Tell that to the 30 something year old male audience who are the majority of tC owners.
  11. Ok thanks, I figured that wasn't very hot. I have a brand new Yellow top under the hood which rests at 12.6v. i took a quick tempterature of it yesterday and it only came up to about 75 degrees. But that was the surface of the plastic casing.
  12. You also got to remember the AF is in the middle of "force shaping" so they are going to be extra picky right now. Once you're out of training status it becomes alot harder for the AF to kick you out Exactly, which makes no sense because my job is undermanned..
  13. Sup SMD? So I was sitting at work today and wanted to know how hot it was getting after putting a pretty large load on it. I know that alternators work better and produce more voltage the cooler they are, so you won't need to explain that to me. Is there a "too hot" number that is VERY bad for the alternator or does it vary between brands and outputs? When I took the temperature of mine, it came out to about 140 degrees on the top, farthest area from the engine. The parts of the alt closer to the engine came out to around 160. Now these numbers were taken after about 5 minutes of loud bass and having the voltage drop to the high 12s on the hard notes. Now I bought my car used and the last person who owned it also had a system in it so it might have taken quite a toll on the alt which might explain why my voltage at the amp sits at about 14.3v in the mornings. As my driving with the music up goes on throughout the day, the idle voltage with no music/other vehicle accessories will sit in the mid to upper 13s. From what I know, that's low as shit, so could this just be a dying alternator os something else within the vehicle?
  14. My car can do a buck thirty but on the crappy high ways we have around here, no way in hell I will do that off the track.
  15. 1. Always funny to watch. 2. Would've laughed in the caller's ear for not being someone who can handle their own remedial problems.
  16. Agreed, but unless you're at a track there is no such thing as racing responsibly. It may sound cold but the guy brought this accident upon himself and ended up totalling his car out of his own stupidity, thankfully he didn't hurt anyone else and lived through it all, maybe he learned his lesson. Any idea what he got cited with? I agree. I've had rednecks pull up next to me at red lights and stare me down like I had 3 eyes and then speed off in their 5 mpg pick-ups thinking they can beat my "riced" out tC but you know what I do...not a damn thing. I ain't risking a ticket or accident just because my pride is in jeopardy because of Cummin's pick up. He could've made the better decision to not race, or just not go on the damn shoulder and if his car was actually made of something, he could've caught up with the truck later on. Also, before anyone says anything, I know my car isn't fast, lol. I never said it was and never will..
  17. Ah cool cool, yeah our planes go everywhere. Especially to the desert. Always coming back dirty as shit. Also I need a B-2 stand out to Mary row. Jk jk bet you hear shit like that all too often. lol
  18. Bed wetting? haha that sucksss. We had a few people get the boot. 1 guy was recycled into our flight for fighting, then recycled out of our flight for bring spent M-16 casings back to the dorm from CATM. Another one was discharged because of some mental condition...he was special. Two PT failures in the end, they went to the 319th. And during the last week, some guy was sleeping on EC duty and was caught so he got recycled. Yeah I'm at Dover AFB, C-5 mechanic - A/R Shop What's goin on in Oki?
  19. Yeah it sucks but the USAF is VERY picky with who they let in to an operational environment. In a BMT environment you really have to pay attention to everything you do because one small screw up can land you in the postion you find yourself in now. I know BMT is a stressful environment and you do things there you might not do in the outside world, but that's life. I saw many people leave my flight when I went through and it was never easy seeing them walk through they bays with their olive drab duffel bag and blues hangin off them.

  21. Agree with this (and everything else you said) 100%. I don't think these countries understand what we can do to them with only a few launch codes and the "ok go" from the President. I'm surprised we haven't already done that considering how crazy some motherfuckers are in this world.
  22. Haha that kid wasn't very smart for picking on someone double his size.
