    This design is for Tyler Roberts on this forum forum. The box is 7.75ft^3 with a 35hz tuning via a 34"x4" port. This will be going in the back of a '98 Chevy Blazer with subs up and port towards the back.

    That middle sub is going to have some loading issues(compared to the other two) being right in front of the port like that. What's the volume/tuning of the box?

    Flares on both openings. Either make your own, or buy aeroports from partsexpress.com

    If you're only going to use a pair of 6" ports, they have to be aeros(flared opening)...otherwise you're begging for port noise with a capable woofer like the HC.

    Don't do that, the back wall in a truck is not very rigid and will give a little instead of giving the sound something solid to bounce off of. Subs forward and port up has always worked well for me in ext cab trucks.

    It doesn't look like you adjusted the port length to get a proper tuning with the new volume and port area.

    If you plan on upgrading to level 3's or 4's, they're definitely going to like a lower tuning. Go as wide as you can and keep that height down.

    This is a dual 15" box for Victor, aka Whattha on the forums. It will be housing two 15" Crossfire XS V2 subs, 7.5ft^3 tuned to 34hz with a 24"x4.5" port. Subs will be firing forward and port firing up, like pictured.

    What exactly do you mean by "wasn't enough"? Were you having port noise issues?

    You need to have the full list of t/s parameters and input them in the order that winISD says to in the Help Guide.

    I have a 4-door truck and peak at 55-57hz regardless of where I tune at. Right now I'm tuned to 28hz, and the lows really are quite powerful, but spl wise I still peak high. IMO you'll never lack low-end if you do a large enclosure and tune around 30hz...with the right subs. I've been using 1.5-2ft^3 with a 28-30hz tuning for my 10's and love it.

    I'd drop volume to 4ft^3 for a smoother response curve, and use a 13.5"x4"'port. The box you have planned will still be loud, but I'd still up the port size some to avoid any chances of noise.

    Those are two very different woofers. The N2 is a spl based sub with a very stiff suspension, higher Fs, and a very strong motor. The XXX is a low-end monster, and will require a larger box than the N2 due to the XXX's large Vas and higher Qts values. If you want to bang the lows like a madman, get the XXX. If you're just wanting to be loud, get the N2.

    I agree with two 15's under the window line.

    The layout for the kerf is easy. 11 cuts spaced 1/2" apart, 5.5" from first to last cut. This will give you a 3.5" radius.

    I have an '04 quad cab myself...very happy after removing the rear seats. 2 18's or three 15's under the window line, no problem.

    Either shrink the port or make a new box...you'll probably like the lower tuning anyways.
