  1. Excuse me sir, you've got some rather large, dark hairs growing out of a spot on the side of your neck..... You look so fucked in the first picture haha.
  2. N8 is the biggest dick on the forums... But when it comes down to it, I'm glad he is. It's fuckin' hilarious. <3
  3. If someone could repost that with the pictures that'd be great... Stupid ipad ftl. Edit: just noticed dude above me necro-posted the hell up out of this. /facepalm
  4. Before I fiberglassed and made a giant (but loud) mess.... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151864533499228&l=87e0e6e305 And After the glassing, with 3 woofers missing. Still haven't prettied it up yet. But idgaf it's loud. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151854328999228&l=9e627d1404

  7. not a fan of fur at all. Nothing says "i was too lazy to sand but still want people to think i put in the work" like a furry door panel. That's cheating. Not to mention ugly too LOL. Was totally being sarcastic since everyone and his mother seems to use fur now. It looks sick as shit black like that. I wish my fab skills were 1/2 as good as yours.
  8. Holy shit fuck. I want that engine in my Taurus.....
  9. Could tune to 34-35. Seems to be a happy medium for all music. What's max dimensions?
  10. Sooooo...... Does that mean 6k on 4 vvx's would be too much? Oops.
  11. what in the world? You're kind of the Skar Idol to me. Thought it'd be sweet running same equipment.... Now you have ZVX's. Things are beasts. What #s were you hitting with the v2's?
  12. Even deeper than V1's Jeeze! Is the 5mm xmax noticeable as far as air movement?
  13. Hey I'm just curious if anyone that's ran both v1's and now v2's, what the performance benefits of v2's are. I have v1's, but I'm wondering if selling them for v2's would be worth it in the end. any performance benefits other than cooling and 5mm xmax? Thanks!
  14. It's held up pretty well so far. Around 115k miles on it. Nothing too major has broke (yet). Turns out my wall wiggles/squeaks a bit. Going to foam a ton of great stuff under it to keep it more stable a d hopefully stop some squeaking.
  15. Oh...So...I forgot to mention....It plays. Lol. Here's the few pictures I took over the past couple days. I honestly get too excited to take pictures. This thing was my very best friend... Screw this 15 degree weather. U.U My old man grinding off the rest of the threaded rod. You're supposed to put down a layer of resin, put glass on, then resin over top.... Yeeeaaahhhh I don't. That sucks. A lot. I decided to try laying down mat, and stapling it in place.Actually worked pretty well. All glassed up. Sorry I forgot to rotate. Forgot to rotate...Again... But BOOM! Wall. It's still FAR from being done. Still going to do another run or 2 of 0awg front to back, Looking to buy a mechman 22a alt when I get my taxes back, going to eventually sell both BB2400.1's for a skar 4500.1 in the next few months (One 2400.1 is stuck in protect and I need to ship back for repairs.) Still have to glass it to the b-pillar and paint it.Going to do whole thing gloss-white to match the outside of my car when I repaint it this summer. It's still a lot to do, and months in the making. Just had to get SOME kind of bass going now. And for being on <2000w, I'm incredibly happy with it so far. Over doubling power is going to be ridiculous O.O
  16. Muwaha! Got the baffle on too, but I'm waiting till all 4 sides are up to post pics. Baffle looks sketchy. People will be quick to judge.
  17. So.... I figured I might as well start showing some progress. Between work, the cold, and my clingy girlfriend, haven't really got much done lately. Especially when my brother helps. He complains and makes me explain everything I'm doing because it doesn't make sense to him. Fml. Today was sunny, I had it off of work (Although a coworker did try to call me in to cover. Fuck. That.), my girlfriend was busy, and my brother was inside sick. It's like all of the planets aligning. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, Shit. Gets. Real. Assuming I get as much done tomorrow before work as I hope to (Glassing and part of the wiring done) It should be playing on Sunday. Will still have glassing and cosmetic stuff to do, as well as Alt upgrade, More wiring, and a few other small deets. But I NEED BASS NOW. Should get most of that small stuff done on wednesday/thursday next week if all goes to plan (Yeah right). ONTO PICS! Here's the momma's boy that likes to QQ about anything other than video games. Out with the old RCA's (In case you can't tell, one pin is broken off. Damn Visonik Amp I had YEARS ago ate it. Aaaaannnnndddddd In with the Knu. (Sorry it's dark. Didn't realize my phone had a brightness setting.) Also got me some Karma SS 10awg speaker wire. One of my better, cheaper investments lately. Sketchy little thing, but it puts out heat. 3 layers of Birch Ply for the baffle. It'll also have all of the corners glued back on, and a threaded rod in the middle for bracing along with fiberglass. the whole box is 31" high (Which means the baffle is 29.5 high, leaving the edges wide open/cut off like that. Should be fine after it's all in place) Forgot to rotate this before posting. Shit. Oh well. You get the jist. In it starts to go! Those corner braces are amazing. Holds the edges nice and tight together for the glue to dry nicely. View from up front... God I can't wait.... Yes, there's a big gap there. The corner bracing pulled it back down (Was just a bit warped mostly.) Time for a break. Buddy Jordan had his 3 DC Level 3 12's in a prefab. He said it sounded like ass and didn't get loud enough... We have to fix that. So he brought over "Frankenbox"... This thing is the ugliest, sketchiest, most fucked up box I've ever seen. But after taking off the old baffle for 2 15's and putting a new one on for 3 12's.... It actually sounded surprisingly well and got pretty damn loud for only being on 2k. And that's all I've got for tonight. Tomorrow is a new day... And hopefully more progress will happen if I don't slack off and sleep in. It's already 3am here. #Imsofucked.
  18. By this you mean, like bolts on the side of the box? And using ring terminals on each bolt to change imp.? yes That's what I was kind of thinking about doing. Figured it'd be the easiest. lol..thanks for the insight bud. If you use banana plugs, monoprice.com has some that fight 10 ga easily These do but they tend to move http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10401&cs_id=1040115&p_id=2943&seq=1&format=2 These also fit and I like them: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10401&cs_id=1040115&p_id=2945&seq=1&format=2 But as Big-A said, I would do bolts. Run each sub pos to a bolt and each sub neg to a bolt, then use the the bolts to wire for impedance. Much easier, just keep track of which bolt is which lol Nothing wrong with banana clips if you ensure they will stay in and not vibrate out or move around and hit each other, etc. ....How would you secure them? O.o Don't really want to solder them in the event I ever want to upgrade the woofers and sell these.
