  1. According to my TPI440, the AQ clip light is almost spot on.... Now I have a newer 2200d, real new. My older version did vary slightly. I would trust the clip light. Now are you goin to say my oscope is bad because its not a DD1? LOL the TPI was the thing TO HAVE here before the DD1.
  2. Holy rockford copy batman! OP- I would go with Crescendo if you are on a super tight budget. Anything less would be wasted money. I personally run AQ also, but if the budget is a big problem Crescendo is a great option.
  3. It's a roofing product, not a sound deadener. So if you want it to deaden, you'll have to load the panels with mass. Even then, you can get better results with other products, like ones that are specifically designed to deaden sound and kill vibrations. Read this http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/112634-why-roofing-products-dont-work/ Fat mat is NOT PEEL N SEEL You're passing on the wrong information...
  4. from what I'm reading, you can still order straight from rusty as long as you don't have a state rep... If you have state rep you will be passed off/forwarded to you state rep... Thats the way I am understanding it too.
  5. Youve answered your own question. As long as all your panels are secured, the only real option is sound deadning material. And how well it works depends on what you go with. But it makes a substantial difference both for road noise, and your audio setup, assuming you are going with a quality product.
  6. You won't be disappointed. Clamped my AQ2200d @ 2490 @ 1 ohm so .75 should be a bit better. But it is very application dependent. After box rise you will likely be over 1 ohm anyways.
  7. Last call for BL goodness, this may be sold locally tomorrow.... Anyone have any interest?
  8. since this only has 2 wires to it what controls it from turning on and off? The more expensive one I linked senses 12V. The cheaper on does not. I added a tiny switch for 99 cents from radio shack to it. Now I just turn it on when I want. I prefer that over having it on all the time personally.
  9. The same as a Stinger brand. Mine is mounted right in my console... I did say the DD was sexier, but for 10 times the price? For most people thats a no brainer.
  10. Do I need to hook up my $10 chinese meter I linked and get the same voltage reading? Agreed DD is a sexy meter tho
  11. I don't think everyone offers the same price. But I think it's always been this way. Either way you will get your DC's!
  12. This one is also nice, <- I have also bought from this person before. This one was the best as far as quality goes.
  13. There ya go I have installed atleast 7 of these in customers cars, and I have 2 in my car, and they work fine. Shipping was faster than I expected, about 6 days total. This one doesnt need a 12V power source <- I use this one also. NEver had any issues with it. Doesnt require a 12V seperate line.
  14. If you were willing to pay shipping sure. But I am sure it wouldnt be cheap at all.
  15. Yes Fi has stated 1500 with the 4" coil. But since the product page I linked doesnt update with the 4" coil option, I just put what Fi states on the page linked. Anyone who knows the sub, knows it will handle 1500 RMS clean power on the 3" coil let alone this 4" coil. But I am being technically correct
  16. Right ......! And 1500 RMS? fi's paged that you you linkd says 1000 RMS . The updated 4" coil "increases power handling" To be "technically correct" I updated the first post with exactly what Fi says...
  17. Ive even seen level 3 with level 4 sp, but that may have been by someone other than dc
  18. Typo. The DMM is a bit off, they are actually 2.4 each, dual 2 ohms.
  19. Kind of what I was leaning towards too. Didnt the XL come about because people wanted a bump up from level 4's with level 5 sp?
  20. Only because I built my box specifically for the XL, and didnt know if I could afford it. The Fi is a nice sub, don't get me wrong. It will be a close call I think.
