  1. Changing the tuning has nothing to do with this. it's the fact that there isn't nearly enough port area is the problem.
  2. edited lol. but yeah personal preference. you don't have to agree with me.
  3. I still prefer number two. just personal preference. takes less wood also. better if you're tight on space also, unless you compete i think the difference would be minuscule lol
  4. i personally like numero dos. less complicated
  5. bad ground? sounds like a familiar problem, i just don't remember what exactly causes it..
  6. good question...
  7. agree with this. buy a new sub, use the remaining money to build yourself a nicer box
  8. what are the specs of the box and port?
  9. good. haha well since you have 3 1500's right now, i'd invest in a 4th one and get some NS 18's provided you have the box space for it. 4 18's on 6k should be hairtrick worthy
  10. Please tell me you didn't make a prefab wall
  11. a 3500 at .5 to pair of SA's? that's impressive...
  12. 2 15's sealed forward. on a lot of power, you might be able to move a little hair
  13. probably not gonna happen. sorry friend.
  14. If a 2500 is little power for sa 12's, i wanna know what bigtime power is..
  15. single baffle that size with no bracing for 2 SA 12's built like that is gonna have some major flex issues.
  16. how bout you stay away from the slightly better than prefab boxes and design one around your specific sub. go to the subwoofers/enclosures section and download torres calc. make a box that's 3 cubes with about 15-16 sq inches of port per cube. 3 common port walls
  17. well yes, to an extent you do. but that raises the tuning with every increase in port area. I'm getting about 18 per cube without any bracing disp. If there is an instance where you need 18 inches per cube of port area, then you probably need more bracing and likely a double baffle.
  18. seems like a lot of port for a pair of 12's... what program did you use to come up with these numbers?
  19. irpirate is watching this. erm.. he was.. anywhosit, time for deadner
  20. that's incredibly difficult to read... but iirc orion's specs didn't give you enough port area.
