when people say the same, they are talking like, the lead acid, needs to be with another lead acid one, or AGM needs to be with AGM... because they charge differently, and will draw off each other untill they die.. *if i remember right just when you think you know everything, some genius comes along tryin to tell you otherwise! lol so i'm assuming the stock car battery is AGM? so that would mean if i wanted to run a 2 batt setup with an xs power in the rear i would need to replace the front battery with an xs power too? if so... i think as far as actual amount of air being displaced, yes the 18" would move more air. the reason the 8" might hit higher score though is that it may be more efficient in the box it's in and may be moving a smaller amount of air at a greater amplitude, thus resulting in a higher score. that's my logic on the topic. but who knows, maybe i'm just talking out of my ass

it would help, but if you have the room, i'd just find a spot for the deep cycle in the trunk somewhere and use both batteries. 2 is better than one!

essentially make two circles. the first one will be the cutout diameter the second will be the outer diameter of the sub offset the area inside the first circle (pull it down like you're cutting it out) raise the area around the outer circle 3/4" because this will be your second baffle. end result should look something like this (took all of 2 minutes, but who's counting )

i havent actually had experiences with either unfortunately but if i had to pick, i'd get the memory foam. i think it would provide some better support and have heard it's just like sleeping on a cloud. a sleep number bed sounds good in theory, because you can both adjust it to your liking. to me it just seems like one of those blow up air mattresses... in short, my vote is for memory foam!
