holy fuck... -
Doing a little sound cloud shopping today and came across this. I almost like it better than the original, almost. Took it to audacity and apparently it's unclipped. Just thought i'd share. http://soundcloud.com/kpdatruth/the-weeknd-trust-issues-remix

Yeah, it would. there should really only be two places that 45's should be effective. just to give you an idea, a 45 that's 4.25 wide, 12 inches tall takes up about .03 cubic feet. 1:9 ratio of port width to height.
-
other than that i'd say it's okay.
-
I don't think having that much port will hurt, but i think your ratio is a little concerning. shoot for like 1:9 ratio if possible. also, you shouldn't need quite that much bracing.
-
i'd give it 2 cubes at 35-38

I can understand the fun in building it, but the fact that he defends them trying to say that they are actually practical is what i don't understand.

so i'm pretty sure a lot of people know "mazda2284" he started making his own subs he effectively turned a 12" sub into an 8" sub for seemingly no real benefit. the wide roll surround on the outside hardly moves. I asked why he would cut the cone area so much and he responded with "cone area is a myth, it has been disproven multiple times" then i saw these videos... I must be misssing something...

Why would you? You're losing a fuck ton of output just to fit a 15 in there. Just get a pair of 12's and call it good.
