not everyone likes the dd-1? some rude comments
cal replied to soundstream15's topic in SMD Distortion Detector (DD-1) Topics
guys , i made a few comments on there and i said plain and simple i have a 100.4 amp and would be willing to sacrifice the amp if soembody would show me how to blow the amp. nobody replied lol. me personally i already know the dd1 does not blow sundown amps as have set the gains on plenty . i guess from what i understand is what they think blows the amps i quote:I imagine that a failure caused by using a DD-1 would likely have to be related to a usage issue; possibly the probe touching the amp output and the case at the same time or something to that effect. I haven't seen the failure myself to know for sure, imo its not even worth trying to defend what they say because it makes no sense . i alraedy replied that the same exact thing would happen if u use a test probe and ground hte positive to the body so is it the smd or the idiot without common sense? so i shoot my self in the foot and try to blame the bullet ? -
nice amp guts looks very similar to some lanzar opti

to all who sent p.m. and helped thanks and for those that were trying to be smart i found exactly what i wanted and am happy so i guess instead of trying to be diffiicult you should keep an open mind . so starting a wtb thread and being honest on what you are looking for does work

well i did not think to phrase it that way im new here and i guess i should been more clear , excuse my ignorance. bottom line im not here to fight but to buy an smd dd1 Does it really matter how he said it?? Leave him alone damn.... People just on here to buy something and trying to find one used in good condition for a little cheaper price. Its smart thing to do. Your not going to go buy a used smd dd-1 for the same price as a new one so he is looking for someone who may not use theirs any more for a better price. If you aren't trying to sell one why do you have to get on his post writing about how he needs to ask the question. Maybe he didn't think of it that way. stop post dumpin if you arent selling him one. thanks for the kind words atleast you understand what i was saying .

o.p. it sounds like the buyer is retarded . and like i said before i agree with you but the best thing you can do at this point is make a decision and stick to it . really alot of sound advice on the thread so you just need to decide which one to take. and i wish we had a box builder that charges like you do -

i never said he should not worry about it i said i would be more worried had the customer not paid . so what i was saying is try to get the customer for storage . i agree with o.p. this is b.s. but its all on how each person wants to handle it . -

did you miss the part where he expected a fast turnaround so i busted my ass all day.. that was 8 days ago almost 9 days now.. also i forgot 2 mention 2 days ago..he said "ill be there at 3" so i cleared my entire schedule..and waited for him.. and he stood me up ( i actually called off work to do so also) no i did not miss that but some guys are just @ holes so i hope you charged more for the fast turn around and if you did not its a learning experience for the next time and remember you have the box paid so if the buyer is smart you can get extra money for your trouble . really you are asking peoples opinion but at the end its your call . just remeber you are the seller/builder and he is the buyer/customer so even tho he is an @ss you still have to do things in a bussiness aspect . i agree with you the buyer is a d-bag but part of anay business is that some times you got to bite the bullet
