Yahoo covering bass?
Supercharged DCs replied to Winn's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
"A typical audio system is usually around 100 watts and can withstand brief moments of 10,000 watts of sound." Lmao how do you go from 100w to 100x that? And who has such a small 100w system lol? Even the cheap Boss amps should do more than that. -

Look at the comments. Fucking idiots lol! Apparently we shouldn't be spending our money on audio equipment when children are starving cause someone stole their food and sold it on the black market -
H/O Alternators
Supercharged DCs replied to KenC210's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Yea should try doin that i am just curious about them cuz i am able to get a 240 amp at $280. which i find considerably low Mike Singer at Singer Alternators gave me an amazing price on an alternator, so I would look into getting a custom quote from him. -
This! I got a chance to talk with him yesterday, he seems so chill, very friendly and easy to talk with. Not something I would expect of a company owner.

What to do
Supercharged DCs replied to Brandonrcm's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
Well, it is your vehicle and you pay for it. If he wants to continue to use it, he should chip in IMO. It seems like a tough situation though, cause he is getting back on his feet. Is he trying to fix his vehicle or find another, or is he simply taking advantage of your generosity? -
well im going to get it re measured in the next hour or two soo ill send it then. I do believe it was 15H X 41L X 31W if i remember correctly. I also might change the sub size to an 18 if i can get it in there. also port faced towards the interior if possible 15 high but you'd like a front facing 18? I'm confused.. He mentioned facing the port forward, not the woofer. So he may want to do sub upward, port forward. Doesn't seem like it would be the best Setup though. With the dimensions given, I got 9.1 cubes before displacement assuming 3/4" MDF.

That is definitely true, and the SDC2 8" seems to only come in D4 (according to the SDC2 8 product page), so the same power wouldn't be given to it versus the woofers which are wired to 1ohm (I believe Ric wires all the woofers to 1ohm for testing, but I may be wrong.) Would still like to see what an experienced installer can do with a low budget subwoofer.

15" small sealed enclosure sub
Supercharged DCs replied to 2loudisjustright's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
Not sure why everyone is against the 8 15 sealed idea. I would love to see it in such a small space, but maybe that's because I like to see different builds every now and then. -
Look good?
Supercharged DCs replied to Winn's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
The longer the port, the lower the tuning, so you would use the extra length an L would provide to tune lower. -

and when do people use the L in a port? to change the tuning of their box if it isn't deep enough? Yes, if the length of the port to get your desired tuning is longer than what you can fit, you would need to bend it into an L shape to fit the length you need. -

Crossing my fingers, hoping to have shipping details tomorrow on my woofers. That way when I get back from vacation I can finish everything up and get em playing in my remaining days off.
