lol, well he had them in a single sealed enclosure at first, but got a new truck, so he cut the box in half right down the middle and slid each section under the seats of his new truck. He also tried telling me that his friend blew 2 amps because he used too big of a sub on them. (Talking about DD 1508's) Said his friend ran two to a 1200w amp and blew the amp because he was trying to power too many subs.i said he was prolly just clippin it, they asked me wtf I was talking about.

I have friends argue with me all the time over stuff like this. yesterday, one of them tried telling me that my battery will go dead faster if i run the same amp but a larger sub. EX: Before I built my box for my 3515, I had a cvr in a prefab box. The amp is a punch p200-2. Using the same amp, but with a larger sub, they told me I was drawing twice the power from the same amp because I was running a 15" instead of a 12". They said I don't know what I'm doing, and that I should just listen to them because they've installed systems before. (They run a "2000" watt boss amp to 2 boss 15" in q box with no sides, but they know what they are doing...)

tough choice

5 cubes is plenty for that dd3512, maybe even a little too much. 3.5 cubes would be pretty good for a 12" -
Ignition is normally red.

My box for my 3515 is 4.5ft^3 tuned to 35hz, it sounds great on only 200w! -
The ultimate sacrifice

I just want to say thank you to everyone who has served or is currently serving to protect our country and ensure our freedom and happiness. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for yall sacrifice. -
So, is anyone ready for more bs? My battery has been giving me issues lately, I believe the cells are dead. I pull into the parking lot at school, and the guy starts to say it's because of my 15. I'm like no man, it's still running on a 200w amp that I've had in for a bit now. My wiring hasn't changed and 200w won't damage my electrical. He then proceeds to tell me that because it's a 15, it takes more power to run the amp because it's pushing a bigger sub. I tell him that is not how it works out, and that the amp supplies consistent power regardless of the size of the subwoofer. He of course comes up with some bullshit story saying how someone he knows "blew a 1600w and a 1800w amp on a DD8". I pretty much just walked away, as this is the same guy that hadn't heard of DD before me and thinks it's a shitty brand. Then he has the nerve to tell me I don't know anything about audio and that he has alot more experience with all this. But I haven't seen anyone come close to my system, and I'm only running 200w to it. So I must be doing something right! Powerbass XA3000D, I can't wait for you to knock the socks off of this fool

Your specs say the Crunch does that Max, that isn't RMS. So I would go with the AP. Maybe look into an Aq1200...

invert or no a level 6 18

Not trying to take either side, but this example seems out of place. Even though Rusty has no background, he has proof that his design works, he has evidence to support his case. If you used someone with no background AND no product to show, then I can understand your argument. But as it stands, he has a product to show, and based on you using him as an example of yourself, than you should have a product or some recognizable proof that you are as knowledgeable as you say. Again, not trying to insult or pick sides. If my post doesn't make sense, I apologize. It sounds decent in my head lol! -
I'm hoping it gets interesting, gotta keep yall entertained. I'm not going to lie, before I started reading into car audio, I thought the Jackhammer was like the most amazing sub in the world, simply based on size. But I know now that my way of thinking was incorrect, and it's the technologies and installation that make a loud system, not simply size. He might not have realized this yet, and I would love to give him a first hand experience of my "shitty" DD3515 on actual power!

The A Team mentions front waves being louder than rear waves. Perfectly Insane mentions variables being different. Assuming all variables are constant except for sub mounting, in which rear wave versus front wave would come into play, wouldn't the A Teams test indeed prove that in the case of normal mounting versus inversion mounting, that the former will be louder? Just trying to clear up a thought -
No need for violence, I'd rather let the numbers speak for themselves. If his is indeed louder than mine (highly highly highly doubt it) then I'll congratulate him on a damn good system, but if mine is louder I'm sure he'll still find some excuse. Might even start clowning on my trucks paint job lol, who knows.

Nope. Maybe some other guys have input though.
