    if you want a cheaper option look at the mb quart onyx series. a lot of people run then due to the power / price ratio

    yeah in that case just do that and go to autozone and get a battery with a 3 year warrinty so if you burn it up you can swap it out. also i know cca is not then best but its a option. but if you have the $ for ofc then its a no brainer.

    what amp are you running?? and i would check out the knu CCA wire it is 0 guage but only $2 a foot so you could do the big 3 with it and run it to your amp so you could upgrade in the future. just a option. eather way i would do the big 3 with 0.

    put as much glass as you want. its your box but i think 3 layers will be fine. now if you have more left over that your not going to use on anything else then use that till its out also pick up a few 1" oak wooden dowls to brace it even more.

    well i new to competing my self so idk at the moment. But the reason why i ask id because there is a local show this upcoming weekend and i think it would be fun to enter for the sake of entering. my new car has never been on the meter so its really a crap shoot but the way the ruling goes at this show is same size and same # of woofers under 4k and same size same # over 4k So i would be in the 1 15" under 4k class

    i think the biggest difference with spl boxes is that your really need a term lab or something very similar so you can make minute differences and see how they effect your score in different ways and keep the ones that +dbs and lose then ones that don't.
