shit yeh forgot bout that one. my box im building is already about 5 ft3 haha, its a tuff decision i loove the lows, but i like a nice punch

true true, my buddy with a 9512 changes his box to around 37 hz, n was able to turn high pass up more making it punch pretty nice. Right now with my tuning my DD doesnt like to have high pass turned up anymore than it is right now, so theirs not much punch.. but hey gotta love the lowwssss

My sub ( 9515 DD & AQ 2200) hits real nice lows, but doesnt have much punch at all. I know the sub can punch, but it since My box is tuned down at 30 my high pass is around 60-70 range. Is this why theirs not much punch? or more because its tuning? Im in progress of my new box at around 36 hz. Should this fix the problem? variouse people told me that theirs no reason for a 30 hz tuning on that single 9515 , so im thinking with the higher tuning i can also turn my high pass up, and should be able to play along with more songs since most songs dont hit good lows my box is tuned to. Should I see a nice increase in the punchiness?!

Why do you want a 30 hz tuning???? that sub can play WAYYYY below tuning frequency, specially on that big ass box, if you still want to tuned it lower, just shrink the port area a little bit, that sub can still play strong as hell with around 55 SQ of port Who cares!!! I think he should. If he has too much port the box could start sounding like crap. And start to decrease spl substantially. You are confused. x3!! no haha, my current tuning is 30 hz, Sorry this is the first box i have evr heard my dd in, so i dont know what the difference is if i would tune it around 36, which is where it currently is at. But my current box at 30 hz can get very very low, and I really like the lows! sorry to have any confusion in this thread haha.

I love the lows. Can someone change the port length for it to be a little lower, aroundish where my current box is tuned to? If possible I would appreciate it very much.

Ive been wanting to learn how to boost and remove clipping from songs, just for fun when i'm bored. I think it would just be fun to listen to something you boosted and cleaned up for yourself , but I don't know what kind of software to use. So my question is Does anyone know a good free software to do this with? And any tips would help out great, Thank you!!

no, i don't have that option on the headunit. And to everyone.. i had a batt in the front and one in the rear, the one in the rear fried. I only have a single 9515 DD. and i never messed with the gains at all after the battery fried so it can't be that.

could it be the pico fuse on the shtty old pioneer headunit, or would that just make it not work at all?? it makes a crackly sound through mids/highs now also btw.

no not nearly as loud. not really anything moves.. before you could tell a huge difference.. windshield flex and all. now its hard to get a cd 2 bounce haha

Ever since my battery fried..lol... i havnt had bass, im saving up for new battery. So i just hooked it without battery. and turned bass down and everything so i could have a nice bass. when i hooked it up it was like normal, but i turned my volume down and put it on my normal settings.. what i realized was i could turn it to my normal volume and bass where it should be with battery, and my lights don't even dim.... shouldnt my amp be drawing that power like crazy... its like something else is wrong, or is the ampjust notexcepting that voltage drop? can someone help me out here?
