  1. it does indeed. but I cured it! I bet a lot of people would want to know how.... thanks anyway man (in fact I should probably still do this anyway) but I finally figured it out. I had to go into tools on firefox and change my network connection settings to auto-detect proxy settings. I still don't know how it changed though. You got it from an infection download MalwareBytes and run it. Then if you don't have any virus protection I recommend the free version of Avast make sure you don't have more than one anti virus installed because they will fight over the infection and it will cause you a ton of problems.. also avast is not bloated down and will not slow your computer down like Avg,Norton,McAfee..

  3. I would also run DBAN to erase any corupted files on the HDD you really want a fresh slate to work with it will take awhile depending on how large your HDD is...and once you have done the DBAN and yous till have problems installing the OS,your HDD is more then likely bad. Whoa, whoa killer. Don't make him go wipe the whole drive in order to get Windows to boot. He will have to do a re-install since vista failed to load the new install. just because he can see the vista loading screen means nothing unless it installed correctly... Also no need to use any other program to wipe your drive windows has format built in.
