  1. how much power are you actually running...2000 rms? i know you said 2000 rms sub just wondering..and budget?
  2. you were working on ur electrical with the car running?! oh and check to make sure theres not a subwoofer on/off thing some units have that..hadn't thought of that
  3. sub up/ port up is what i could do for that vehicle.. and shrink your port down 7 inches and go from there.. (my computers being dumb at the moment or id post a torres screen shot) your port would be 16x7 as an L shaped port on the drivers side of the box ported ^ ive seen alot of people have success in that truck like that
  4. what vehicle is this going into?
  5. that box is all wrong man..when a port splits like that it splits when its half the width of the port from the back..so in ur case it would be 5 inch from the back wall...but hold off on that box its late or id try to work you up something (my brain dont work too well at 2:30 a.m.)
  6. if youre wanting someone to build you a box hit up kingsuv (his name on here) i know he builds and ships boxes
  7. looks good man just curious as to numbers i like these subs and that tuning is perfect for them
  8. The SDC2.5 are very different to the HDC3s still 33-35 would have been probably more like it, for the HDC3 35-38 will sound much louder. ive had the 2.5 before and the best success i had was with 35 htz tuning
  9. thats what i was thinking them subs like it at around 36-38.... i am currently building a box for these same subs but i got it tuned to around 35-36. right now i have them in a box thats tune to 39-40 its ok but im building a new one to tune lower. good subs by the way what wattage do u have urs at, cause mine are on 500wrms and they make a popping sound when i go 3/4 to full tilt. ive had up to 2k on these subs and they took it with no problem.. post a vid of the sound and see if someone could figure it out..not the best at diagnosing a problem without being there but someone could prolly give suggestions
  10. how much power?
  11. for that sub you can tune higher.. try a tuning closer to 35-36 htz youll be alot happier and it will free up some room in your box
  12. you guys do realize he said he said he needs all 3 total to hand 1000-1500..not each lol
  13. as far as designing you a box for those subs i dont have enough experience to give you a design..but im sure theres someone on here who does.. as far as building a box all you really need 1. circular saw 2. jig saw 3. wood clamps (they make it nice) 4. a drill 5. 3/4 mdf board 6. screws 7. titebond II glue 8. caulk (for the seems 9. wooden dowel rods for bracing 10. basic carpentry skills
  14. just say ya know..you dont have to put the subs in different chambers if you run 2 amps.. gain match the amps and youre find and no i wouldnt use that box build your own..find someone to help design you once you make ur amp choice...i dont have experience with those subs to know what clean power they will take
  15. dual 4 ohms wire down to 1 ohm..and he meant 4 cubes total (i hope)
  16. if he goes with the hd i would honestly not tune below 33 at min..no need with that sub
  17. thats what i would do...plan ahead for the future so you dont end up with an amp youre gonna end up having to sell later down the road
  18. what about the 1200? would give em some headroom later if he was to upgrade to 2 subs? just a thought
  19. alotta trucks are like this.. mines a single cab (different yes but similar) i absolutely suck a** with the doors closed but when i open the drivers side door i gain significantly
  20. the width of the port..if longer than make a bend
  21. needs more port... and whats ur plans for bracing? and the common port walls like said before.. and i would think two would displace more than .09 lol
  22. buy a 1/0 to 4 gauge reducer..in all honesty you can run that amp just fine offa one run of good 4 gauge..ran mine like that for a year no problems
