    Like title says im looking for some nice speakers. I want all the speakers to be one brand. I really want the Image Dynamics 6.5's . Looking to spend no more than like $150.00 shipped a set. Not into sq so no need to overboard. Want to amp them so no cheap pairs. for the 6.5's i would like to get a comp. set if possible with tweeter and xover. lemme know what you got.

    So i think i posted this before i just cant find it. Ive almost comllpleted the sub stage and are about to move up to the front speakers. Could someone help me to better understsnd terms such as active passive 2 way 3 way etc. Any others you can think of. I have learned alot from this site so have no doubt in my mind i will continue to learn post by post. And also whay would be the best option for.me ( a beginner) . I also want to amp them.

    So today my speaker started to sound clipped all the rest of the day .(if i understand the clipped sound) and it hasn't stopped. what are all the ways i can tell if a speaker is clipped or damaged from clipping or even blown. Obviously i know to listen but any other ways ?

    well there are good and bad options to using 12's and 15's . I was always told 2 12s is more cone area. But there are trade offs.
