  1. My buddy just picked up 2 of the E-10's and they just SLAM!!! AND super clean/tight!
  2. Looking at doing a system in my buddies RSX. HE want to do 1 or 2 E-10's. Now he listens to mainly country and hard fast rock. And really want s to hear and feel the kick-drum! Would you recommend the E-10? And what kind of box would you put it in? SQ SQ SQ Is the ONLY Goal in mind. Would love to get these before the sale is over!!!
  3. John Nolte and I were talking last night, and he was telling me about these snail shells, and double shot box. So i started doing some research and found this thread. Did you ever end up building this box? How did it sound? considering trading out my T-line for a box that will play a larger bandwidth of music. thinking about this beast above. :-)
  4. My 37hz 12' T-line hits the 32nd notes without too much problems at all. the 64ths sounds a little sloppy, but who ever listens to music THAT fast. The box sounds best to me on Dubstep. Tight, fast, and loud!
  5. I can tell you from years of experience, that it is not the AVS Box. It have to be in the installation. How to you have your valves wired? What brand of valves are you using?
  6. Wow! You have to have a perfectly straight body/and panel alignment to pull off the Flat look on a mini! And you have it juuuuust right! Props on the truck!
  7. Thanks for the honda heads up, I have had 5 ef's in my last few years. With everything from stock motor to turbo b20 vtec's. Haha I'm running custom front dropped forks built by me, drop zone rears with 4 inch top at all the way around. Shifter bushings are new, There is no sloppy in it what so ever. Just buzzes from vibration. Glad to see another honda head up on smd!
  8. Its the road noise mostly. I know part of it is warn motor mounts. Because I can feel the shifter vib in mt hands a bit. But I shut the car off going down hill on the freeway and it was still noisy. I am all stock just dumped. Every once and a while ill hit a bump and the wheels rub on the inside of the trunk. I think ill damp the trunk/roof/ and doors, then next cash infusion ill do the luxury liner. After my trunk wall and roof cap is finished.
  9. And if the second skin is really only 4 blocking metal resonance, then would I benefit from putting it on the floor board of my car? The Floor is very thick and multi layered. I'd don't want to install it anywhere that is wasted due to it being so expensive!!
  10. So approximately how much do I need for an old beat up civic? And what'd vice do you have 4 weather stripping and window seals? Other than just buy new stuff which is easier said than done on my car.
  11. Haha I want as quiet as possible. Now I'm not anal or anything, but I don't want to waste my time or money. If I need 100% coverage, and I'm on limited funds, should I just buy that cheap(Ish) fatmat? Or only get 40-50% coverage of second skin?? I will never be going for competition stereo, just something a little louder than the average best buy system.
  12. I'm starting to do my system right in my 1990 civic sedan. And the eventual goal will be a trunk wall with 2 12's or so. But stereo is not the only reason I want the deadening. That car is very loud driving down the road. I know everyone says you only need to cover 25% of the metal to get rid of the metal resonance. But how much do I need to block the outside noise? And how much square footage do I need to cover the floor, roof, trunk and inside of the firewall? Thanks!!!
  13. This is the design were using, but just not for a 6.5. building it for a 10.
  14. Here are some pictures of what we are starting with.
  15. This simple one were doing should be done Monday. Pix will be up then too
  16. Will we decided to start experimenting with a horn box. Using 1/2 mdf with a little fosgate 10. Ill post up pix in a minute. If it sounds like I hope it does, then Ill remake it out of 3/4 for my hx2 12".
  17. you need 150posts to sell here. http://www.stevemead...ic/36941-rules/ kthx
  18. is there just not many people who like horns/t-Lines?
  19. Final Lay out of the Horn Box.... Please give any criticism, or ideas, as i really only want to build this once....
  20. The last box that I posted, was created by someone on here. But as you can see by the dimensions its 4 a 15... could I just proportionally make everything smaller? What are the rules for building a horn? And how will those rules change by having the port exit the same location as the woofer?
  21. im hoping they do.... thats why im asking the experts!
  22. Or what about this one? Anybody every experimented with something like this?
  23. I have 2 differient box ideas for my civic. I will be using a 12" Hx2 Reconed by Faultline Customs. I have 32x14x20 (give or take a few inches on the 20) One is a horn style, nto exactly sure what to call it. Other is a 35-40 hz t-line I really only want to build on box, but it is really really tempting to do both....
