  1. He it would be louder with rear speakers. He's putting no more than 75 RMS to each component up front with the Xplod amp...
  2. Why hasn't tooshort said anything about this yet aside from the first couple of posts calling Godsmack a scammer.
  3. I read through the whole thing, if you got the money back too short... Why do you feel that you are entitled to any of it? Fedex is spending money to replace an item. That item is no longer yours. Your opinion, his opinion, everyone's opinion does not matter here. Its fedex's opinion on the item. Fedex Reimbursed you when they should have reimbursed the OP. Bottom line, OP rightfully won a $500 subwoofer, which was messed up in shipping according to fedex's $500 reimbursement. He should be entitled to the $500 then. Call me wrong, but you already got $350 for your sub out of the auction. The subwoofer no longer has your name on it. You sold it, you got the amount of money you wanted for it. What makes it right for you to get an extra $500 on top of the $350 you already got for it after the fact that it is no longer yours.
  4. Optimum No rinse in the garage. Look into it. Really look into it, because you'll be skeptical at first. But I haven't read any reviews on it.
  5. Get a brand new one off ebay. I got a Pioneer Deh-4100 Ub for $98 shipped less than 3 months ago, Brand new. My dad got a Pioneer Deh-4000Ub over a year ago for $135 shipped. I just picked up another 4100 for my dad's truck for Christmas at a local shop for $135+ Tax..... I wouldn't be getting them if they sucked. High output voltage, USB/ Ipod, Aux, IP BUS, etc... No problems with CD skipping and nothing too expensive in the dash to be overly concerned with.
  6. Selling all my stuff. Have a couple revos, an older savage, a project tmaxx, an Ofna CRT. Truggies are the way to go. I used to race. I have a ton of parts and a ton of spares. I'm trying to get rid of everything. Worked at a hobby shop for a year and the hobby turned into more of a job than a hobby. Doesn't do what audio and my real car does for me now.
  7. BULL SHIT. You straight copied the introduction and translated it into french.
  8. Don't own one, but I've heard 2 of them, and they definitely get down and put out some power.
  9. If the makers intended for the amp's gain to be maxed out 24/7, don't you think it would've been more effective to put an on/ off switch? A clipped signal doesn't make a subwoofer louder either...
  10. You're running 450 watts... Sending all the unclipped power that amplifier can produce won't hurt that sub... Just play it however you like it... Full tilt, whatever.... Doubling the power without changing the cone area doesn't mean you'll double the output. Statistics say doubling the power makes a speaker 20% louder, but there's really no definitive answer to that other than you definitely won't increase the output of the subwoofer 100% by doubling the power.
  11. Hypocrite Sounds like a power/ grounding issue. Too bad you (OP) Won't take the time to make yourself sound like you have the ability to fix it. Go back and read your posts....
  12. I see a few pillar pods.... bet that shit bumps! He didn't even try to hide the wiring.... Haha
  13. Start off with 120 Don't forget the LLP too.... it's vital A huge tip I can give to you is fill all the voids. In the areas that had no chance of getting wet, or any wiring that could be a potential problem, I stuffed poly fill wall to wall, until I could not pack it any tighter. This adds support to the panel. In the areas that have this extra support, there is absolutely NO flex at all. In the areas that could possibly get wet, I filled them with closed cell foam (Ensolite). If you don't care about being able to get the the panel in the future for dents or anything you may need to get to them for, you can fill them with expanding foam which is the most effective method.
  14. Damn, movin' off 200 watts. I wonder if the BTL would even look like its movin off 200. How much excursion do these subs have?
  15. I don't bid until the last minute, in an effort to reduce the chance of a bidding war and hopefully not making the auction raise higher than it should
  16. I like the Avic Lineup from pioneer... Alpine, Kenwood, and Pioneer are kind of the lines I'd stick to. Look for a deck with high output voltage. What's your budget? Btw, where you from in Chico?
  17. Whoa.... You got plenty of room bro! Build a box all the way across the back wall, more airspace than you got and make an amp rack either under the seats or floating above the box. You can get a D1 OR D2 Q or BL and throw 1,000- 1,500 watts (1,000 = Q, 1,500 = BL) If you go with D1, you can grab a Maxsonics Maxlink and strap two memphis 500s to the Q @ 1 ohm. You'd be probably just a tad over 1,000 watts and sounding good. It would be better to get something that would handle 1500 RMS like a BL- If you're willing to sacrifice that much cab space.
