So I reinstalled my amp yesterday and for some reason it's not working now. My amp turns on and stuff so it can't be ground/12v are fine. I checked it with a dmm and there was no output in the speaker inputs. So the problem has to be with either rca's or headunit. My headunit is Alpine CDA-105 and has no on/off for subwoofer output. It's always on, so that's not the problem. And my RCA are new. I'm lost.... Anything else I can check for?

So there is something I can do if they decide to pull a trick on me? It's not really vibrations as much as air flow causing my amp to move. Like low notes push a lot of air and make the amp flex a bit even though it's secured down and has foam under it..

Not like, flexing.. But it vibrates enough to where I can feel it. Unfortunately I didn't do any top to bottom bracing. Hopefully the amp is a cheap fix. Something probably just got unsoldiered, right? Or blew.. I'd send it back see what they say.. what's the worst they'll do.. say oh it's your fault? And well your box shouldn't be doing any of that.. mount it into your car. I've read thing about them not sending back items after you shipped them and also that instead of replacing the iteam, take it in for "repair", and people never see them again. What do you mean by this. My box is attached to my car with metal brackets if that's what you're saying

Hmm, That's what I have going right now. But I'm still worried because it shaking my amp.. Any other ideas on vibrations or ways I can deal with online car stereo?

Also, I'm afraid to try to return the amp the 2 channels aren't working on because I bought it from onlinecarstereo.com and they have a history of taking the amps you ship to them for repair or return. So now I'm stuck with a broken 4-channel because I doubt they will honor their warrenty( this amp is a month old and Im not sure if vibrations are what caused it to prematurely fail)

Okay, we'll I tried mounting my amps in the spare wheel well and it was good except 2 of my channels in my mb.quart 125.4 are now not functioning.. (set gains with I-scope) I think it's because the amp was getting vibrated to much under there. I took both of my amps out and put one behind the seats and one in front of the box. I know the air will help with cooling, but it still moves a bit when the loooow lows hit. Is this a problem?

and i know from the hundreds of designs i've done, that 2 single six inch aeros is about half the port area you need for a 10 cubic foot box IF it's even 10 cubes anyways, which i highly doubt. hell a lot of SUV's i've worked with struggle to get 10 cubes out of their cargo space. and seeing as that box is only taking up about half of your trunk, i'm willing to bet it's not 10 cubes. There are VERY VERY few cases where people can fit 2 18's in their trunk. i've seen one infinite baffle setup, and another that i'm pretty sure was sealed. this is why it's important to plan out ALL aspects of your system carefully before you dive in headfirst. now, if you're lucky i could see you maybe being able to fit a single 18 in a ported box if it was firing into the cabin. I agree with this, I have to go halfway up my window line in my wagon just to fit 10 cubes.... Theres no way you're fitting that in your trunk with half of it empty....

Looking at your sig you do not have enough electrical for 4k+ watts. I have about the same for 1500 watts..... just my choice. Add a battery or two. If you're dropping into 12s or 11s with bass its definitely losing a lot of power and would not seem as loud. With enough batteries I think he could pull off 4k on 220 amps.. But, i think 220 is a bit overkill for 1500. That's much better than not enough though Does your voltage drop at all?

Well, you gotta pay to play.. But, there is budget amps. Look into the Hifonics BRZ series, or audiopipe amps. Both should do rated on solid electrical.
