  1. Who wants to see me shred this bad boy?
  2. i wire low, and my subs hit kickdrums harder than shit
  3. i found out it is a TC9 motor produced by TC sounds. It's either an old TC prototype or an older Orion HCCA from back when they were OEMed by TC. And it could handle 1500rms, but I think i'll grab new softparts before i try anything like that.
  4. dont get a boss. http://www.obsidiancaraudio.com
  5. im thinking about sendin it to PSI and get some lovin. i just wanna know aht kinda motor it is. I've never dealt with a reconed sub, but if you ask me, this looks like at has been reconed. and badly... i had it bumpin in my car for a few minutes tonight, works fine. bottomed it out a lil though, it was in a ridiculously big box with a 6 inch slot port lol
  6. go look at my "what kind of sub is this?" thread in subs n enclosures section

  7. i was doing an install today, and this had this sub in a burp box, connected to 1 ohm, on a 200watt kicker amp. I told him what he was doing wrong, and i told him i would trade my Alpine Type E for his sub LOL. He insisted on keeping the burp box, but whatever. I cant figure out what kind of sub this is. Its a beast, weighs between 40-45lbs. All i know is that it's a 12 and the coils read out at 1.7 apiece.
  8. i've heard you set the bass knob at full when tuning, i could be wrong though
  9. you'll be just fine, any sub can handle 1 ohm, but not every amp will.

wow, alot more guys than i ever thought.
  11. thanks! find my subaru impreza build log, and tune in. big things coming.
  12. yeah, they still drop down pretty damn low without unloading too. I think its because port area is only around 11in per cube. Idk, it was the first box i ever built, and i think i did pretty decent. I've built dozens and dozens since then, and this is the best higher tuning box i've done so far.
  13. the subs arent even mine, theyre my friend's. I built the box for him about 2 years ago. I had no calculator or anything, all i had was my knowledge of net volume, port area and length. He listened to mostly metal and rock back then, so i was aiming around a 40hz tune.
  14. the video doesnt do justice, it gets pretty destructive in there for only 600 watts. show some love!
  15. a guy from craigslist wants to trade me for my 10" Rockford T1, older model with a silver dustcap. He has a 15" Quantum Audio SPL sub. I know NOTHING about this company. It looks decent...fat surround, good sized motor. It can supposedly handle 1500rms. Does anyone know anything about this sub?! Would it be a good trade?
  16. its rubber, alot like an eraser. when debadging, youll notice the wheel decreasing in size, and you'll be covered in rubber shavings/dust.
