josh went from 4 sundown e8's, to 2 sundown sa 12's for finals(my subs now, i let him barrow them) to a custom 15 sub he won from a giveaway, which got blown, then he bought a crossfire 15, which we traded for what is now his system of 2 crossfire 12's, i'm good friends with josh. good shit man! hopefully i'll be seeing you guys around.

still cant get over josh brown's demo, not the loudest. he only did a 145+, but it was the cleanest sounding i heard all day.

This was today in Batavia NY at Hardcor Audio Our boy Josh Brown aka Goatskindreams turning his "Impaler" into jelly One of Mark Mcfadden's "exSPLorer" runs. He put me in there on his 2nd run. Topped out at 147.something, and ended it with a 146.1. My tiny 145lb ass gains dB's when i get thrown into the driver seat. Jodie Allport with a single 12" sub, i dont even remember what he has.

they're good, but nothing even comparable sa-8 v1 or v2. My friend had 4 of the xd8 on 2k, did a 147 something. I think i would rather get the alpine type-r 8 though, has bigger coils.

the sub is blown, im no longer trying to figure this box out, im just trying to figure out the why tuning is always off when i use torres.

no LOL i was using a TC9 12" prototype in that box.

i've been building boxes for a while, i know i'm not building the port wrong. I do not build port bends unless absolutely necessary. the port is 2" wide. 26 sq in of port. 19.25in long. 28hz was the point of no movement for my sub. the box sounded amazing, but it wasnt what I was aiming for lol.

im talking about the tuning frequency of the box itself. i fully understand a vehicals tuning, but thats not my issue (this time lol). the frequency in which the sub appears to not be moving is the tuning freqency of the enclosure, correct? thats the way i was taught for years.
