  1. havent completely made up my mind but just ordered 1 foot of 8" pvc pipe of ebay
  2. ok so thinking about doing the 8" aero port because I'm thinkin that might be easier and less destructive to the car lol so heres a pic of the 8 inch hole in the rear deck it would be about a foot depth wise into the box and offset to the right...Would that cause any loading problems with port being more over one sub than the other?
  3. Here's the current specs with the slot and current specs with one 8" round port with the 8 inch aero its 50 sq in of port with the rectangle port its about 55 I believe
  4. another idea I just thought of is that I have a 8 inch hole for a sub in my rear deck...could possible convert the box to a rear deck port...
  5. no.... the red piece is whats not in the picture
  6. Alright so I made a new false floor outta two pieces of 3/4 mdf and test fitted my box without the top on seems like a perfect fit Only big step now is getting the armrest port right....The port lines up about right at the back of the armrest so I took the seat out to see what I'd have to do to cut a square hole for it and not only are there some metal pieces but the seat is like 4 inches thick with weird plastic pieces and shit I'm afraid that somehow even if I did manage to cut through that armrest that it would look like shit because you would be able to see the layers of stuff I cut through....Any input from someone whos done this before? also keep in mind I made a removeable port and the port isn't yet secured in the panel so thats why its not in the picture before some smartass asks me why my port is just a hole in the box haha
  7. It shouldn't pose a problem I've done it before...unplugging the amp would be an extra safety precaution but you gotta make sure you tape up the power lead damn good
  8. In my opinion I would take the 25/hr job man...There are people walkin around down the street askin for change and people moppin floors in gas stations for under 8 bucks an hour that would bust a freekin nut to have an oppurtunity to make 25 bucks an hour.....Sure the people here are right saying that theres more stress involved and that your going to have to work harder...I'm sure there is and you will....But the reality is that YOU chose to have 2 kids and now you have to support them and do whats best for them and ur family by any means necessary to make the most money you can....Sometimes you just gotta figure out what you gotta do regardless of what the downsides for you might be and just push through that shit......Then on ur days off just look at ur bank account and it'll all be worth it
  9. Well see thats why I was asking I wasn't sure of the benefit of one over the other.....if I was in this hobby to take the easy way out I wouldn't be on here, I would be sitting in the lobby at some shitty local car audio place letting them take care of it lol...
  10. http://www.parts-exp...tnumber=266-474 ???? You would need to buy 4 of those, because each one needs to be 8 ohms. You could use these http://www.parts-exp...tNumber=027-425 http://www.parts-exp...tnumber=266-806 Hooked up like this Of course, instead of one speaker on the right, you'd have 2 in parallel. Here's the calculator I used http://www.the12volt...osscalc.asp#ccc I'm aware I was just making sure I had the right ones seems it would just be easier to buy the already assembled ones that I posted rather than the separate cap and inductor you posted tho? or am I wrong lol

  12. Ok heres my dilemma...In a week or two I'm gettin two more st200's and there will be 2 super tweets on both front channel so that would change the impedance to 4ohm which would mean that the crossover point would be different then when there was just 2 at 8 ohm right?
  13. I want my supertweets (st200's) to play 5000hz> on a 12db slope are these the right caps?
  14. not exactly anything new haha but good you found a solution..
  15. Well I think I may just grab those parts express capacitors and cross em at 3000, still gotta figure out what I'm gonna do for the 6 x 9s though because shouldnt I have them bandpassed?
  16. aacstyle has good quality products and great customer service I've used them before...
  17. I got 2 st-200 supertweets and 4 Boston acoustic 6 X 9s hooked up to a RF 400.4...theres a supertweet on each front channel and two 6X9s on both rear channels...The super tweets both have schosche hp filters on them because the amp only high passes to like 300 but I have a feeling the schosche ones dont hp them anywhere near how high they should be....What should I do/get?
  18. alright so I found a wiring diagram online that shows that the purple/white wire in the door harness it for the passenger side door lock...so I found that wire and dmm'd it and it read 0 volts....Then I unplugged the harness and it read like 11.6....plugged it back in and it went to zero....wtf
  19. hmm I do know there was a line going to the handle with a hook like thing hah that may be like what your talkin about The only thing I unplugged was the molex plug in the door grommet an I am positive thats plugged back in the only other thing is the line that goes from the lock to the door handle, other than that I didn't see anything else
  20. About an hour ago I had to remove my door panel to cut a space in it to mount a supertweeter and everything went smooth (except for those damn christmas tree clips breaking) but then I noticed that as I was checking to make sure the door lock button and window controls worked on the door that when I pressed lock and unlock it didn't work on the door that I just took the panel off of.. I checked after that and the molex plug in the door grommet is plugged in and the switches in the door work...the door lock just doesn't respond on that door...any ideas what could have happened? Car is an 07' dodge charger sxt btw..
  21. hard to give an estimate man it depends ur car, how big the box is, what ur electrical is like, what amp you got on em, theres a lot of variables...too many for someone to really give you anything more than an educated guess..
