  1. 50' should be plenty. What amps are you planning on running and will there be a second battery?
  2. I used the existing body ground (sanded down for a solid connection), used the existing motor ground (didnt take much cleaning on a new crate motor). 1996 C1500 . still planning on add a ground to the frame. I used a distribution block for runs to the computer and stuff. All stinger 0g
  3. I am a fan of liquid nail for gluing and sealing a box. There are others why will say fiberglass the with mat for sealing. both work well. And no going over the edges will not hurt anything.
  4. 90% of the time I keep the volume low driving in and out of my neighborhood. Yes I know even 8's can be loud. Actually I am really impressed with the new subs. Just think I should be able to get away with 5min of testing on a saturday in the afternoon. And if I was shaking windows there is no way I would test in my driveway. And when I replace the small amp with a slightly bigger 500.2 I wouldnt test in my drive way then either.
  5. You should have given him a demo. No doubt. I would be glad to do a demo. I just think coming over and asking me to turn it down is a little more neighborly. Thats what I would do. Ask nice once and then if someone continues to be rude. Than call the cops.
  6. Great answers. Don't buy a generic tuner. Take you truck to a Dyno shop and get it tuned properly. Also headers to go with the CAI. As mentioned there are several truck forums you can go to.
  7. I know most of my neighbors. I think this guy is mad at me because I didnt side with him when he was trying to get a pitbull in the neighborhood put down. necause all of my other neighbors in the culdasec would come over and say something to me except him. But really, is 200w worth complaining about. The cop grinned when I told him what I was testing.\ And anything 500w or better I would not test in the neighborhood. But 2:30pm on a Saturday for 5min should not get the cops called.
  8. I think I will build the blowthrough at 11pm on a tuesday night. See what they think of that.
  9. I replaced my 2 old fosgate D4 HE 8" subs today with 2 new P2 D4 8" subs. I used the same box that has been in my truck for 4 months. I tested to see how they sounded for about 5min on some Lil John tracks. Close up the truck and the garage and go in the house and start watching TV. 5min in to relaxing the cops are at the door. Someone made a noise complaint. REALLY!?!?! WTF people. 2:30pm in the afternoon your gonna complain about 2 8" subs on an old MTX 2120 (maybe 200w @ 4ohm). I am assuming its the same person who complained a year ago about a low profile 10" fosgate sub in my 350z also a saturday about 4pm (about 200w @ 4ohm bridged on rear channels of a 400.4). My problem is........... COPS?? REALLY? It's only 200w people, get a grip. It took longer to call the cops and get them to my house than it took for me to test the subs. Just wait till they here the blowthrough I start building next weekend. 3 12's and 2 T20001BD's. And that will complete my rant for the night
  10. My project DB terminals. I know this wont answer your question, but I just installed them this past weekend and seemed like a good place to show them off. I do happen to have the same question about terminals for an XS3100 since I will be running one as a second battery
  11. I am currently running a shallow 10" Fosgate in a sealed box in my 350z. It;s good clean bass being powered by the rear channels of a 4 channel fosgate amp. The sub is getting about 200wrms and the is tuned with a DD-1
  12. The saz1500d will be more than enough for pair of SA8's.
  13. Liquid Nail instead of wood glue. (it has never leaked in my boxes) . And if your still worried about leaking then use some resin. And as mention pre-drill.
  14. I recently purchased a used Fosgate T20001BD from mikeg321. The guy is a great seller. He sent me pics and vids of the amp working. The amp was shipped as expected on the date stated. The Amp still looks brand new and I tested it today, Damn near blew my friends subs. So product looks good and works great. I would buy from him again and recommend him as a seller.
  15. or even a used Fosgate T20001BD
  16. Rockford all day. The RF2500bdcp is supposed to be a badass amp.
  17. How did you blow it. Most people seem to keep these amps alive
  18. If you are talking about Powermaster. Mine has been great for like 8+ years.
  19. Not trying to jack anything. I just happen to be looking for the same thing. And I am not looking to bump anyone out of the way on buying the item listed. I am just interested if the deal falls through. donpablo started the thread an was here first, so he has first dibs. I managed to get a great deal on a T2000 already and have decided to get another one so I can link them.
  20. I like it. Looks like what I am getting ready to do in my truck. Seeing stuff like this make it easier for me to want to cut holes in my truck.
  21. I am gonna order 4. I have to all 3 vehicles. Thanks for the info.
  22. Simple solution is Blowthrough. Thats what I am getting ready to do. Then you have plenty of room for Amps and Batts. Also allows you to keep the bench in the extended cab.
