ied hate to have to hide those purty amps with the leds on em, y not box in side back windows n mount amps there? like 4 on both sides, n 2 amps on front of box? would look cool as shit i think, not many ppl do this tho but would look tits if u tinted or sprayed ur back side windows black n put a pannel over it n mount amps there? maby box in with square tubing to help keep down flex i kno u got shit takin care of but just was wondering what u thought of that idea, im just amazed how u hide n route ur wires all over the damn place n it look so clean its almost factory

so what do u go by on tuneing the box with speaker? the 8000's move a shit ton of air but i want to tune it to maxamize its efficeny, i love low bass that shakes shit but also sound good with country, n rock

so would u go by fs to tune a box or freq responce to tune it? the fs of my 5500 15's is 21.70hz and of my 8000 15's 23.9hz but the 8000's seem alot louder on lower notes,i unno lol

ya, theres 2 parts to the port, the first part then the bend, i was playin round with it n ied put 4 on top n 0 on bottom n work from there

distortion, lower tones tend to not pull as much current as higher faster tones do if this is off stock headunit or aftermarket i would try not to let anything below 80htz go to mids n highs, but i dnt think its blown, prolly cone hittin the tweets, and could be the cone makein racket, there made of cheap plastic stuff that doesnt like fast snappy bass at all, my kicker mids n highs does the same thing sometimes

what did u have ur xover set to? u can blow a speaker 2 ways, mechanically and thermally, mechanically does with over excuring the woofer @ any givin freq n the woofer rips itself appart, mechanically means u give it hella power at a higher freq and the speaker isn't able to move to dissapate heat accuratly n it burns itself up due to excess heat but i think u clipped the shit out of em, is u all u got 1 set of comps for those 12's? its hard to get one set of speakers to keep up wit loud bass all by themselves

i got polk db 6500 series comps in my geo n they sound out of phase as hell, even with pos to pos n neg to neg, i unno wtf it is, but mine aint harsh n it has to do with amp, i might soon take em out of my geo n put em in my truck, n what knot i got mine ran from shitty ass 600w 4ch sony amp n they sound ok i took some roofing stuff kinda like dynamat n did my doors with it n it made a good amount of diff in sq n helped fill that void, my kickers had that peak sound like urs do n sound like some hella over powered 3&1/2's till i put that deadning in n turned the eq down on my amp n now it sounds like i got 6x9's in my doors n 8's in the back lol but im leanin more twards a hertz setup with a good set of 12's n what knot, ive had a set of 12's get louder than my 15's with same amp n thats a damn shame to tell the truth, so i need to rework my stereo n see how loud i can get

nah thats just a speaker to rca line level output box so the active wont work, unless u run a 3ch eq inline with it like this one on the top right hand side u see the x10-x1 freq multiplyer, this alows u to make the front channel highpass only n let only 500-5,000htz go threw it for tweets, instead of fullrange i got a coustic 3way xover that lets u run front channels highpass n rear channels bandpass,so u can run active, but thats a while down the road from this but not to far
