my buddy did a 90 somethin toyota camry with 4 mtx 8500 15's single 4ohm ran off 2 mtx 1501d's and taht shit was loud as hell, and made a lil plate with 4 5x7's in the back ran off a mtx 500.4 and mtx front and rear ran off headunit i think but that shit was jammin loud as hell and clean to, and they was all inverted to, just my .02 tho, what kinda budget u workin on?

i think 8's are as big of a sub that will be able to handle vocals but still has to be playin bass to, just words wont work right, i got my 8's set on low pass but when i set em to flat they play vocals n bass just fine but if u cross em over to high it sounds like pure ass, only reason not to is like he stated cone moveing really slow creates backpressure in the former n alows air to flow threw but when just vocals(no bass) is played they will over heat, but most ppl will look at selinums thinkin there subs but there pa mids that dont move no more than 4mm period so there good for vocals, but if u play vocals and bass threw subs over 10'' the diff tones all over the place will make it work to hard n burn up, it will try to play low,mid, n high bass notes were its only susposto play low bass around 150htz down, so i wouldn't risk it thats what they got mids n highs for

what does that 800 do @ 2ohm and is it 1ohm stable? i might be interested i need somethin for my mtx 5500's and this should work fine, and can u get more pics of the amp?

wont the tube resonate as the bass note rises? and wont the end of it make turbulance? (sp) and i was thinkin of somethin, as much tube as it would take u could do a tline in less the space? but ive wonderd the longer the port the lower the tuneing? and could u do a 2 sub 1 port setup were the subs are on the ends and theres a "t" fitting in the middle and then the port goes from that might help with tuneing also, ive put an 8'' sub ina old trashcan and it acually sounded good when i made a hole in the end of it, but could a tube u use for a concrete work better? but then again wont the end make turbulance? might work but the lingth of tube would prolly not fit tho, but couldn't u just build an encloser and put the tube in it kinda like u would an aero port? im wantin to try this also but i think that might work were u have 1 sub on left, one sub on right and a t fitting in middle with port there and u could use the tube were the subs are attached for tuneing also?

were was u at when i was doin my install^^ i waisted almost a foot of 0guage tryin to trim it so it would go into my amp and it takes 0guage but the screw wouldn't bite it, and why not just try a dist block? run 0guage in and 4 out? thats what i do, and it will look alot better and u can run more than 1 amp off of it if need be, hope this helps

try gettin a memphis 500d for those, i got a memphis 1000d on 2 mtx8000 15's and its slumpin, a memphis 500d would be good for em heres a link, and this is were i got my amp from also http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...;Product_ID=374 and try to run 0guage to it if u can there really efficent amps but still need good current to feed em for what they do, there underrated a lil tho, my 1000.1 does 1100wrms@1ohm, so i think that 500d will do around 600, i had 2 mtx 4500 15's ona mtx 500d and that amp did 775wrms@2ohm 14.4v not tryin to post dump but ued be amazed the diff on amps, ied run that 400 to interior speakers if u aint already got a amp if its a 2ch, and get that memphis 500d for subs it will do em just fine and its 1ohm stable so u can run just bout anything off it, anyways system sounds really good mane and good lookin car, keep lookin into smd u'll learn alot from these ppl on here i did

lol, every channel in my truck is wired to 2ohm, each channel on mids n highs amp is 2ohm, midbass amp is 2ohm each channel and sub amp is 2ohm i never thought about it all being 2ohm tho lol, and there in there own lil encloser i had made for my 6&1/2's when my amps was on top of box and i used those holes to run wires threw and for rear speakers but those 8's sound really good, i got em both for $50 and well worth it, they acually got some good excursion and dont distort or bottom out at all but i aint got em set like that anymore i had em in my room for subs tho, ima go make another video here ina min but i gotta lisen to a couple songs tho, that cam dont pick up flex to good tho, my steering wheel was flexin n doors n dash, i think ima do one with silicone cause i was playin it up at my uncles and it got loud as shit in there lol

they acually sound really good, but i got em set to lowpass at 180htz on amp and 80htz on headunit but they sound great when subs are turned off, i got em to play more of the high bass tho, i got some more songs ima make a couple more videos for just pickin witch songs to play tho, im thinkin bout gettin a kicker kx1500.1 for em but my buddy that sells em said they can birth 1900rms@2ohm tho so i unno what those 8000's will hold, they got double stacked magnets and a 12spoke basket but there tough as hell tho
