  1. This whole thing has gotten out of hand...db-r states his warranty issue clearly but is still taking shots at Meade,as a person. There posting pics up of Meade and tony over there, yeah he may say he didn't post it but its up and has been up on their forum. When their forum rules state otherwise. Both forums "I" think are breaking their own rules. The guy(db-r) keeps changing his mind and even went to the point of listing his credentials. And for what? Because Steve said he wouldn't send him his alarm clock? Just like how he states he sticking to his warranty policy Steve can say where he will or will not send his alarm clock...lol! And as much as everyone can keep going back and forth at each other it's all b.s. things like this make the 12 volt industry look crazy and give it a bad name. Grown men arguing over the Internet. Yeah things that are said can be funny,we all have laughed to ourselves when someone is pissed. In all there are company names being mentioned in this whole mess and getting their product bashed,or their company being bashed which is not Kool. Everyone has choices. No one stuck a gun to your head and said buy this "one". You buy what you buy ,willingly. You don't go and bash a product just because it didn't work well for you when it works well for others. Every product also comes with something called "INSTRUCTIONS" they are there for the BUYER,OPERATER to READ!!! To AVOID USER ERROR! Why buy a product worth so much and not know what it's fully capable of and "JUST GUESS",only to blow another product worth more money then start bashing products when it was operator error all along, just because people don't read the user manuals, instructions, etc. All this has gotten way out of hand is ridiculous in my eyes. Not everyone will agree with me either and that's fine. Everyone has their own mind and opinion. Just like the saying goes,"opinions are like a$$hole$,everyone has them". At the end of the day though both places SMD and db-r should clear and clean this up,I dont know both guys (SMD and db-r) but they have their own companies and can be heard and read ea. others comments over the Internet. When people can see one another, and if that's not possible, the phone. Business used to handled in person and if not the person is a phone call away. Db-r also keeps saying im from the "old school", from what i remember old school men handled their situations face to face. Both sides will stand behind their companies, who wouldn't? "I" also see Steve trying to prove his point by buying a sundown amp and test it and even going as far to making a vid to show its not his product blowing the amps. While db-r keeps changing his story it seems and only fueling the fire. I also say all this as just reading the threads on both forums. Idk either side(Steve or db-r)but they are both older than me. Anyone who has more knowledge than me in the 12 volt industry always has my attention as long as your willing to help others learn. Just thought I'd air out "MY" opinion about the situation and it sucks to see company names being brought into a situation and nothing positive being said. It's easy to speak out of anger,we all do it. But companies that are being mentioned like dc audio,sundown,SMD,db-r,& whatever companies db-r mentioned, are getting their names thrown out there over b.s. no one is perfect,no product is perfect. If its built by man it can be destroyed by man...good luck to all companies involved hope it gets handled though...my bad for writing a book f#%kers! And yeah i wrote all this with meade's comment sig'd but that sh!t was funny....I'm out like the burnt amps mentioned....
  2. Would u rec. 2 Ivx on a JL 500/1 or would a single Ivx do good on it as well? I know in both situations the sub will be over powered or if going with 2 they would be under powered by a lil bit but wanted your input Kevin....let me know...thx in advance...
  3. I think you should get sponsored by charmin bro,for all the sh!t you go through...hahaha!! Dayum haters....
  4. So what has Sundown said about this bs?? Have they heard anything about this happening wth the DD-1? X2^^^^^^^^
  5. I knew Steve would step up and clear this sh!t....I read the posts db-r was saying and what everyone else was saying and it kind of made sundown look bad as a product because people are blaming the way the amps are built now and questioning it. But in reality It's db-r who I think has no clue about. Wtf he's talking about. If he has the proof that its the DD-1 he should post a vid of how it's sending the sundown amp into protect. Just like how Steve here is gonna show everyone that its not the DD-1,buy buying a sundown amp and making a vid proving so. Be nice if Jacob could chime in also and back up sundown. As always though Steve stepping up to the plate to get sh!t handled and that's a man standing behind his product and going extra lengths to prove his point when he shouldn't have to. Hella sick how u handle situations Steve! Even though u try, try, and try again to hold back...there's only a certain amount of b.s. a man can take...but i don't how this is even a dispute when Steve has posted tons of vid of the DD-1 showing that the DD-1 is a great product and where are db-r's vids stating his facts?? Just my .02 cents.....
  6. That's not spilner...haha jp! Def. sounds dope in the vid. Steve. Good sh!t mayne....
  7. Sick bro...congrats! Def. some power right there..
  8. Sundown is definitely doing it BIG! With all the new subs. No other company comes close, and if they do they'll definitely be imitating these new lines and revamped subs. Keep doing good work fellas!!
  9. Jason Zip-86045 Level 3 15" and 18" Level 4 15" and 18" XL 15" and 18"
  10. Good guy here! Don't hesitate to buy from....would do business with again! Thx again for a good transaction bro! A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A+....
  11. I wanna try sundown....and maybe later on also switch out my amp to a sundown also...
  12. Good info to know....I was thinking 4 12's on my t2500.1 but idk if they will laugh at that power...haha...or 2 z18's v3 on the t2500.1 for now and add another 2500.1 later...or possibly 4 SA 15's....
  13. What do y'all think would be safe running the SA series at their rated rms power or can they handle a lot more power?
  14. I was leaning toward 2 zv3 18's but I've seen how the sa's get down to and considering them now...plus idk if I'll have enough power to run a pair of z's....
  15. Yeah the t2 15s I'm running now take up most of the space in the ext. cab area, and the box sits below the window line...and I have room for the batt on the sides..and enough space in front of the box for a small amp rack to mount my Amps....but through it all if I decide to do a wall I'm down for that too...so space isn't really an issue with me....plus I only have the one t2500.1 for now....that's why I was thinking a few sa's or one or a pair of the z's...just wanting to get some ideas and advice for now....but thx for ur input bro...
  16. Wassup sundown fanatics? I'm planning on running sundown once I sell my current setup...I have a t2500.1bd on 2 T2 15's....and I've been wanting to run sundown for quite sometime now so I wanna get some advice on what subs to run on the t2500.1 I have now... I was thinking of 4 SA 12's....2 ZV3 18's....air space isn't really an issue...I have a 1994 Chevy ext. cab and either gonna use the whole ext.cab part of the truck or do a blow through...if I do a blow through idk if the 18's will fit might have to step down to 15's....for elec. I got a new 275A Mike Singer Alt. And a XS power XP3000. My elec. hasn't been installed yet but I'll be doing that soon. So let me know what y'all think....as for what series to run and what size and how many....any advice is much appreciated....thx!
