  1. He has projectors, so all the "scattered light" will be concentrated. Usually when you see dull coloring or HIDs with a lot of scatter and no focus its one of two things... a cheap HID kit, or the lack of a projector housing. He will be PERFECTLY fine! and despite what people say about the 8k, its visually fine and appealing!! I had a monte carlo with 8k lows, high, fogs and it looked absolutely gorgeous at night and I had NO PROBLEM seeing up the rode!!! Not to mention that blue Hue only makes the blue calipers "pop" on the Lexus ... Nice Attention to detail IMO
  2. Yep so I'm ready to start on these door panels but DAMN am I having withdrawals LOL.. starting to get nervous on the thought of hacking my doors!!!

If you're in America. You've got it in you to succeed. You just have to face that sweat and blood to get there.

Thanks you guys, I figure I would try to motivate after seeing someone complaining (not gonna call any names) ... but as long as there is a roof over your head, clothes on your back and food on the table, nothing else matters... the extras are nothing but a bonus and thats where hard work comes from!!

  4. This is Genious!! I wish I had possession to this for planning my enclosure for my x's I plan to get!!
  5. Have you ever been SO anxious to get a part of your build done but realize you have to wait until your next check before making progress? #Impatient LOL, I'm just ready to start on these damn door panels!!

I kind of feel your pain lol (i work FT and go to school FT) BUT I just bought 2 sets of morels and a RF 600-2 and im SO ready to start these door panels!!!

  6. most of the time yes. way more than enough for single layer full coverge. you could probably do double layer with 32 sq feet maybe triple what kind of car is it? its a 2005 monte carlo .. and i plan on putting Cadence CVL68 Mid bass drivers in there.. i have Focal Components already but im trying to upgrade to louder speakers to keep up with my future sub configuration.
  7. Would The regular damplifier be good for doors and if so would the 32 sq. ft. be enough for a 2 door car?
  8. Thank you so much for your help! OK, i figured that would be the reason for the front subs.. And Yes my seats will fold down.. Is there a way you could provide me a cut out sheet for the design you gave me? I will consider some improvements, check calculations and then provide you a cutsheet by tomorrow.
  9. OK, i figured that would be the reason for the front subs.. And Yes my seats will fold down.. Is there a way you could provide me a cut out sheet for the design you gave me?
  10. Also do you think you could design one that is around the same cu ft with all subs facing the center, or is that the point of the 2 subs facing the front to give it extra cu ft?
  11. if you notice in the pic there is a bar at the top, from there to the back of the seat is at 4 - 6 in. would that be ideal?
  12. i like this design also.. quick question, when doing the blowthrough and sealing it from the trunk, does the box have to be pushed all the way against seat or could it sit back a little? the reason i ask is because the cut out behind my seats arent as wide as my measurements and the excursion from the sub could hit it. i'll upload a picture to better show my trunk and how its arranged... but thats a sweet design and it gives almost the optimal space along with bracing which is very necessary
  13. ok i see what you are saying.. now i havent had any experience with the "seal-off from trunk" but i see alot of ppl are starting to talk about it.. what type of results does that produce? i ask because i tried facing subs fwd in my car before and wasnt happy (but it wasnt sealed)
  14. thanks you soo much!! quick question, how much of a difference would it make if i made the inside baffle straight instead of the slight angle.. and also would the port be facing the rear?
  15. TBH thats is the best way.. i was really trying to figure how i would mount my subs and/or replace them if need be (blown, change of brand etc)
  16. Yea i was thinking port towards the trunk.. do you think i could do 4 facing up kinda like Steve has his box (except this will be a baby version lmao)
  17. Hey SMD Nation, I have a 2005 monte carlo and i was planning on doing a system build of 4 Sundown Sa 12's IN MY TRUNK ( *EVIL LAUGH* ). My trunk has a volume of approx. 13.8125 cu ft (that i can use, this isn't the max) .. And im looking to tune around 32Hz and i'll be mostly listening to Hip Hop and R&B My (Usable) Trunk Dimensions: Height: 17in. Width (long): 39in. Length (deep): 36in. Sub displacement: 0.06 cu ft I will be powering them with 2 Arc Audio XDI2000.1 's pushing a little over 4000w RMS. I don't have computer access to download any of the calculator's so Any and ALL help will be highly appreciated.. Thank You!!
