I am sorry that you are using explorer. I tried to copy paste a bookmark with explorer just now and it don't work. Maybe it's time to switch to chrome. You might be surprised at how much better it is

I just changed mine, If you are using chrome, make a bookmark and right click and copy the bookmark and paste it in your sig in the control panel for extra style points

Copy the url from your browser and paste it in your signature in your control panel. Should work.

bro why are you trying to use external jumpers on a crossover? RF crossovers have a bi-amp switch inside of them. once you take off the four screws and pop the cover off, you can flip the switch so that you only need to wire the amp to the tweeter input (check the manual to make sure, but im 99% sure you use the tweeter input if you're not bi-amping) and will send out shared power to the tweeter and midbass. if you have the bi-amp switch on, then you need to have the amp wired to both the woofer and tweeter input. Sorry, bout that,. I looked up the manual on rockfords web site but i must have missed that. so i looked at a pic of the xover and just did the best i could.

That xover has inputs for tweeter and woofer. Just run your speaker wires from your amp to each xover and hook them into the wfr+ and wfr-(the input side). Then run a jumper from wfr+ to twt+ and a jumper wire from wfr- to twt-(the input side). Then hook up your speakers to the appropriate outputs.

That doesn't work on youtube. Go watch a video with commentary and wear headphones. Then when the person decides it would be funny to yell or something your eardrums are blown cause the rest of the video is too quiet.

Anyone know of either an extension for chrome, or a program i can install to "normalize" all sound played on my pc? I am not talking about using WMP to normalize mp3 here. What i need is something i can use while watching youtube videos and it will limit the output so when i have my headphones on i don't have to go scrambling for the volume knob. I found a program called "Volume Control 1.0" but it wants me to download a downloader to get it. and it says "During the download process we show commercial offers, such as the Softonic Toolbar" No thanks.

Well, I don't know anything about that amp. Can u link to some specs on it. Ideally you want to keep as much sound as possible in front of you, so i would think you would benefit from running the fronts off it instead of the x9's. But I don't know if it's 2 ohm stable or what. I can't really say without more info. edit

Looking at your sig i think maybe you had two sets of speakers off your front speaker outputs on your head unit. Is that true?

seems to me that there's gotta be distortion or clipping either in power dropping and using a cheap volt meter or possibly the subs are shit? I've never had the DD-1 mess up like that but I know they have had defects before thats another thing, how far is your gain/bass boost turned up? No boost, i redid the o.p. to make it all more clear. Also the dd-1 is fine, i trust it.And to snowdrifter. The amp is set with -5db and i played the -5db track. How is that an issue? Maybe if i played 0db and set with -5. But i did not do that.

Maybe i should just re do the whole first post, because i see i have confused everyone except maybe one person.

C'mon read man, lol the kenwoods were smelly, not the sa's i'm trying to find out why 400rms subs were getting smell on a 900rms amp after rise with a clean signal.

If there is a blame game going on thee then when you go back as manager part of your job will be fixing those kind of things. Never blame anyone just fix the problems or set up sh on your end so you can deal or predict what areas purchasing has weaknesses is. Be pro-active, not re-active. Good luck!

the only thing i can think of is maybe, just maybe i am not seeing that much rise and maybe the amp is doing more than rated. So if the subs are 400rms and the amps is doing say 1k, then that extra 100 maybe be too much for them. Some one told me once that the kenwood's don't like running at rms. I am going to double check everything and hopefully if i don't forget when i get back to work i will borrow the clamp meter and see what i am getting to the SA-12's I'll get someone to help and just do a few burps and keep bringing the volume up till i hit max and just keep a close eye and nose on everything.

Ok, ok, lol I always forget info dangit. H/U set with 0db tone, max volume sub level at +6, e.q. off, mb-ex off, loudness off. no clipping. Got a signal and tone light with both track 1 and 2. The sub amp is not running off the Fosgate symmetry but i did set it with the 0db tone track 1. (the line driver setting) e.q. at flat Then i set the sub amp with track 3 and my "bass knob" at max. Hooked everything up played track 5 (amp was set with that track, so clean signal) 10 seconds, maybe less, smelly coils. Box is tuned to 35 so i wasn't unloading. edit: pac-lc1 (bass knob) was at max entire time. edit edit: for those who don't know, the pac-lc1 is just a potentiometer, a variable resistor if you will, only cuts voltage, no boost. just a passive volume knob.

I assumed they were single coil because the dvc's handle more than 400rms
