yeah i get what youre saying but with a dual 4 ou either get 2 or 8 ohm... i ccould also do a dual 6 because my last sub nefore the mtx was a 3 ohm and it ran fine never shut off or heated up the amp (destablized the amp)

well the amp i have is only 4 ohm stable so i really lookin for a dual 8 or single 4 im still lookin around as for the dual 4s how i was lookin at them as is 1 coil wired to chan 3 and the other to chan 4 as for dual 2 cant i run them in series and get 4 ohm load? Edit~ i was also looking at these: http://www.audiosavings.com/products/10-Inch-Car-Subwoofer/Quantum-Audio-QAW10D2-10%e2%80%9d-625w-RMS--2500-Watts-Dual-2-Ohm-Car-Sub-Subwoofer/QAW10D2.aspx http://www.audiosavings.com/products/10-Inch-Car-Subwoofer/Audiobahn-AW1051T-10-600-Watt-Peak-300-Watt-RMS-Dual-4-Ohm-Car-Audio-Subwoofer/AW1051T.aspx

alright heres whats up i went out to the blazer to start it and test out a new cd i just got but when i did i found my sub makin a wierd noice (like coil rub only X10000000 worse) and although this is the first sub ive had thats lasted and been through a lot im just tired of messing with it and planning on permanently retiring it and as im looking on a few different sites i found a couple i liked and would fit my budget but one i found most interesting due to looks and description and price is one on the sonic electroinix site and i was curious if yall knew anything about the brand or this particular sub ill also throw in the links to the other subs i found and see what yall think... most interested in: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7359_Kole-Audio-MFW-10.html others interested in: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_46499_Cerwin-Vega-HED104-White-Box.html http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_20412_Lanzar-VW10D.html http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_42464_PowerBass-S-104DX.html thats all that really caught my eye atm...

ok thanks hugh but heres easiest way i can think of he said on right side first 4 firing out second 4 firing in and reversed on the other side and hes leaning towards the kicker solo x 18's on 8 hifonic maximus 20,000w/10,000wrms amps(2 solo x's per amp) what would that be? http://www.amazon.com/Kicker-Subwoofer-Technology-Advanced-Including/dp/B003NJC89Q http://www.amazon.com/Hifonics-Maxximus-Performance-2-Channel-Amplifier/dp/B001KYLDJC/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1337138446&sr=1-1 i highly doubt hell use amazon but yeah thats what hes leaning towards is that a good combo or should i talk him out of it?
