  1. This is making me tick! For those that per-ordered, will we get some sort of notice when our orders are done/shipped? I can imagine that will be a task in itself.
  2. Will you have to manually switch between different voltages? Or are you going to think of some clever way to flick a switch for different voltages? That would be wicked.
  3. I'm planning on running mine at really low tuning, as in 25hzish. But I'm just waiting for mine first...
  4. So my voltage regulator fried this morning, because my voltage spikes like crazy as the engine speed goes up. I hooked up my meter and revved up the engine, and it spiked beyond mentioning. Wondering if I did damage to my battery, I know that it took well over 18v and its a 5100r. I swapped it out for the original battery but I'm hesitant to hook it up to my intellicharger.
  5. So a buddy of mine asked me about getting an agm battery. Naturally I suggested XS Power, and I told him to get the biggest one that will fit under the hood. However he recently bought a new MotoMaster Eliminator series battery thinking it would do the trick. So he doesn't want to get rid of it and I was always under the impression that one should upgrade your primary first. Is it better to run a normal starting battery as a primary, and have an XS Power battery as a secondary?
  6. There are those who hate what they don't have. I bet that the majority of your haters are jealous of your popularity and your work. It's a strange thing but its true. Luckily the majority of them are probably young kids who have no perspective on anything but while sitting at their computer instantly become a master of any subject.
  7. Get the biggest battery that fits where your stock one does! Most people will say to replace your primary battery first, before adding a second one. But talk to the folks at XS Power they know more than me. I definitely recommend XS Power!
  8. Find the specs on the drivers and use some sort of box calculator software. I mean things like Vas, Fms, Qts....Its a list of what looks like gibberish. Its on the manufactures website...http://www.skaraudio.com/index.php/productscatalog/subwoofers/item/iwx-subwoofer.html?category_id=8 The hifonics amp should be fine. I've never had a problem with hifonics, as long as you feed it good clean power. Hope that helps a bit.
  9. Poor guy though he was looking cool then...not so cool, he dun goofed.
  10. Haha well i threw it into my studio and i have to say its a shittay mix but ill have a go
  11. What do you want edited? Bass boosted or chopped and skewed as they call it....which is really just pitch dropping.
  12. how much power wire are you running from the front to back?
  13. Yeah your right because my hooked the volt meter to the batt under to hood and it reads 14.4 and at the back it reads 13.5. I guess by the time the current reaches the volt meter its one through lots of wire resistance.
  14. I installed a new volt meter in my car but it read the voltage differently. Ex: Car turned on voltage ~14.2 at the rear amp using a multimeter, and the volt meter in the dash reads ~13.5. why is this? I figured it was because i have the volt meter tapped into my 4 channel amp but you cant have different voltage on the same circuit right? Maybe the volt meter sucks?
  15. Come on man, 175 is my limit for the sub, not everything. Im not ordering sub before I get the car which wil be next week. Okay, okay, but you just didnt say anything about buying the other %90 of a audio system. I'm not saying that you haven't though about that stuff yet but if you haven't, first thing to do isn't to buy woofers. Assuming that you have your power supply and amps figured out...then forgive me, I was wrong about not getting what your looking for.
  16. I'm working on door panels and the fabric store doesn't have any fleece right now so I'm wondering if there something else I can use to wrap the panel before fiberglasing.
  17. I doubt you'll be able to get what your looking for with a $175 budget, considering you haven't said anything about a head unit, amplifier or power supply.
  18. i've never seen an rj-45 connector for an amplifier remote knob. the ones i've seen are almost always rj11. edit: link to an amp that has it? Ah frick, your right my bad...i was backwards.
  19. Try a Sundown SA 8". Those little bastards slam. What kind of amp are you running, or want to run? Whats your max amount you'll spend?
  20. Remote wires are usually standard ethernet. If you do get a cable makes sure its not for a telephone, its got to be ethernet.
