A band I follow on facebook just posted up this link to an article. It's pretty intriguing.. I guess it resembles a Millenium falcon. And all electrical equipment within 200m of it do not work until out of range. I don't leave the Music section on my kindle so navigating it doesnt matter much to me. And the iPad music organization is better. But the Kindle was sooooo unbelievably convenient and cheap for me to use. I bought it off a friend for 75 bucks, couldn't pass it up. And it just slapped right in my dash, no custom dash needed.

I think there are bluetooth devices that will let you tack on extra storage. There's an app for it, I believe. You'll have to look around, I forgot the name, but it does exist. i'm currently happy with the 8gb's that I have. I don't listen to too many artists.

I don't need a ridiculous high quality amp. I need to keep the cost to a minimum here. I found an MB Quartz ONX 1000.1D. And I hear they are decent. What do you guys think? Everyone's said so far that you can push as much as 1100 rms to these subs if you have clean signal and a good box. I would want to be at 1 ohm also. Just looking for some guidance. Thanks! -Hunter

Well I started by cutting out a sheet of plywood the size of the compartment that the radio slid into. And I pushed it in so it was stuck in place. Then I cut a piece of that matress foam stuff, the eggcrate foam? Don't know what it's called. But then I glued that to the wood. Then doublesided some masking tape to stick the foam and kindle together while I installed the dash plate. The foam pushes it against the dash plate and keeps it in place.

I don't have a processor yet, it's just a straight signal to the amps. The head unit is entirely out of the car. I have the remote turn on for my amps wired to an ignition fuse. The charger is to a cig lighter so it charges while the car's on. And the display is set to shut off after 15 minutes. There's a Headphone to RCA converter for the RCA cables. Edit: Also the charger is fortunately a usb that plugs into the charging hub. So if I want to transfer music, all I have to do is get my laptop and unplug the usb from the hub and into the laptop. So I don't have to take out the entire Kindle.

I just looked around and couldn't really find a significant upgrade from your amp for around 500. Best thing I found was the Crescendo 3500D and that was 680$ :/ Edit: You can find one for under 500 if you looked in the FS section. I'm sure someone has one up.

Do 1000 RMS, I ran 1200 to mine when I wired to 1 ohm, blew that coil in an hour.

Any sub of around the same quality and RMS rating I would buy. I just particularly like the Xcon a bit better. But I'm in need of a sub so I'm not going to be picky about it. Just need it around or under 250.

What are your box dimensions? Ported/sealed? That amp seems pretty low end as well to be powering a Mayhem.
