  1. powered speakers are gonna have an XLR input and probably a balanced 1/4" input. so you'll have to turn an RCA from the preouts on the receiver into 1/4" or XLR. easiest way would be from RCA to 1/4", easy to do/make/find. edit: also mackie has some decent powered speakers for real decent money, i think they come in 12's maybe 15's, i used some for a PA rig one time in a small venue (just 2 of them) and they villed the room really well.
  2. damn you make wrapping shit look easy. how thick is that vinyl? it doesnt mess up the fit one some of the pieces that youve wrapped does it?
  3. i was wondering the same thing not long ago. i was thinking about inverting my p2's and seeing if it was any louder/lower/higher or if it had any difference at all.
  4. what'd you use? did you do regular paint and some clear mixed?
  5. if you still have this a little ways down the road ill be gettin from you.
  6. as far as i know youre screwed. it has to be programmed to work in your car by the dealership. or somewhere that can program a key like that.
  7. damn i hate those. spent so long gettin one of my dad's computer. speed tester or some gay shit.
  8. customer service plays a big part in my book. ill shoot ray a pm tomorrow and ask him about them.
  9. damn that little thing has a beefy ass surround on it. seems like its beatin pretty good to be a single shallow mount. 4 of them sealed might to the trick for me, or with their low volume requirements i might can do ported behind the seat.
  10. heres what i came up with real quick. not sure if i like it or not. transparent
  11. im gonna try to throw something together. wont be as graphical (is that a word? lol) as all these but idk
  12. shit im in. my system aint nothin compared to anything on this site, but hey at least im ported now. and i got a badass head unit. ill sport some stickers and a t shirt if they get made
  13. the brown note is 6hz iirc. back when my dad was a claire brothers guy and ran live sound pa's he had one with 72 claire brothers s4 cabs, and it could hit it. said he almost made him shit himself messin with a tone generator one time. each one of those cabs got 10k watts. each cab had 2 18's and 4 10's.
  14. edit: oh those are the slim ones....how do they sound? but its a crew cab silverado, and i have to keep the back seat in, going to college this fall and need room for shit. only room i have is under the seat or behind the seat and behind has more room. i get the truck in about 6 months and i just want to get a half ass list of what i want together.
  15. due to the limited depth behind the seat in the truck im getting in about 6 months, i have decided to get 4 of the new p1's in 10"s. they have the shallow enough depth to fit in there, and require low enough airspace sealed, so i should be alright on the space. now ive been pointed towards the RE SL's. how are they? all shallow mount subs ive ever heard sucked balls. but looking on their website, i see the RE re's are 5" deep. i may go for them.
  16. im with your firend, whats the tube for?

  21. i wouldnt say that. weve got 2 psb subseries 1's, which are 8's. and them things get low and get decently loud. and theyre smooth as hell. they work great for movies and music.
