If you know shops than most of them charge out the ass for "custom built enclosures".
Hell the shop in my town charges like 400 bucks for a "custom" ported box for a couple 12s and all they do is just look off the "recommended" ported sizes which usually suck balls
pete does designs by himself...there is no middle man or any other business he does them for.
You get the design straight from the man...he wants to have the best enclosure design service with the best customer service...he has his cell phone number on his forum
Are you wanting a t-line for the flat response, low end extension, and superfast transient response or are you trying to get loud??
I can do it for you but I'm not sure if an unstuffed t-line will fit in a trunk
A t-line for a 15 is possible if you stuff it. With 0.5lb/ft^3 of polyfill a 25Hz 1/4 wave tuning is only 49"
I designed a 25Hz tapered T-Line that is 3 cubic feet externally.
So I'm sure a 15 can get in there.
Port can sound just as good if not better if designed and built correctly. You can get just as loud and sound good with half the woofers and half the power..half the money. Less strain on the electrical. Less money spent overall for the same output and sound
why do people always think sealed = sound quality and ported = loud bass.
its all about the design and install...I'd go ported for sound quality and overall loud bass
