no...single layer is fine. Just use a peice of 2X4 from the baffle to the back of the box in the center.
-
I could do a 154 with 2 comp 12's..... .....in a crx.
-
im trying but i also want to be there for Desert Storm. I dont know if i'll make both.
-
if thats the case then you will be safe tuning a little bit lower. (i would say 38-39) but expect to lose 75% of low bass once you "drop the top".
-
wait...... how much time is spent with the top up / down?
-
what kind of music do you listen to mostly?
-
thats incorrect.

Lose the chrome gas door. 24" red color matched wheels with a polished lip. 4 12's or 3 15's in a nice red fiberglass box below the window line. -
you can get it loud but you have to tune higher.
-
did your brother have a convertible also? Its impossible to get decent low bass in a convertible.
-
You better tune it to ATLEAST 40 or you wont even know its back there with the top down.
-
definately box 1
-
using your dimensions... 35.75W X 11T X 25D you've got 4.42 cu.ft. Build the box that size with the 4 8's along the front of the box with a slot port along the bottom right below them. The vent should be 34.25W X 1.25T X 18L. That will tune around 37. Divide the center of the vent with a strip of 3/4 for a brace.
-
agreed! .....but i would tune it around 40 or 41 so port length doesnt eat up too much airspace and because they are 8's.
-
the 2 cvr's would be louder but if you are wanting 2 15's, then why not just get another DD 3515?
-
Did you build it yet?

Can Someone Design A Pure Spl Box?
SPL2K replied to littleitaly1990's topic in SPL - SOUND PRESSURE LEVEL
Not if you want SPL. -
Nothing in the corners, no resin, and no bracing unless you are using more than 2000 watts. Maybe 1 2X4 from front to back between the 2 subs.
-
yes....to all your questions. Subs dont have to be touching but you want as much room as possible between them and the port.
-
49W X 17T X 20D port is 15.5T X 5.50W X 13.75L Subs rear firing as far to driver side as possible and port rear firing on pass side.
-
thats no where near an "SPL" box. The bracing alone is costing it 3db. Then there is the port and port placement.
-
lol...overpriced prefab / non-custom POS.
