    Its not full retard. Plenty of people out there are running at .5 all day and running just fine. Lol. Some people even prefer .5. Just cause you dont like it doesnt mean ut shouldnt be done. Just saying. And for box specs, ive talked to a few skar reps when i was designing it and they say my box will be fine

    People run these amps at .5 all day. Buddy ran his at .5 for about 6 months never had a problem. Only ran min at .5 for about an hour. The. Rewired it to 2.

    6 cubes is what is reccomended. 3 cubes per 15. And yea i bever thought about it slowing down air, but since i dont plan on doing much spl i dont mind. And the amp is treating me great man!

    Here is the box designed using google sketch up. Black will be spray on bed liner, and the red port will hopefully be red shag. Then I plan on having a red skar emblem either on top of the box inbetween the subs, on one on each side of the port. Box is 6.08 cub's tuned at 31.

    I ran this sub at .5 for about an hour. amp got so hot i couldnt touch it for longer than 5 seconds. I dont have the electrical to run .5=[ but it got loud as hell!

    heres some pictures of the setup that in right now. Got the cops called on me yesturday. I got a "disturbing the peace" warning at 1 o'clock in the after noon from some old dude that lives 2 blocks away. So now Im on a 24 hour probation, cops get another call i get fined! im happy and mad at the same time! ahahaha

    5 Stars for this guy! Great seller, i see why he is on the Super Seller list! Bought this amp for a killer price, payment and shipping went smoothly, recieved the amp in the original box, with an unused bass knob in perfect condition. I was just expecting an Skar amp in a brown shipping box, wasnt expecting a bass knob either. Amp works flawlessly. Easy to get a hold of, and even messaged me to check up and make sure everything was working correctly! Great seller, hope to do business with him again!

    Huge update!!! Got an sk 1500. Wired it all up to a custom sub a buddy had lying around. Just so i have bass while i order the rest of the stuff. Sounds awesome. Ill have pictures up tonight, videos up possibly tomorrow. Cant wait to get the 2 vvx 15s in! This one 15 alone is supper loud!!!

    Thanks man! I love looking at your build. so clean. makes me want to have my buddy do some fiber glassing and airbrushing on my box, but then i remember this is a 800 dollar commuter. ahaha. I was thinking about doing a bed liner box with red shag port. but idk. Anyways, thanks for the follow!

    Not sure if anyone is following this or not, but i will keep updating! Alrighty, got a SK1500.1 on its way. Bought it off ToNasty here on the forum. Love this place! Once it gets here i will be installing a custom made 15" a buddy of mine has lying around the garage untill i get my 2 vvxs ordered. Getting closer and closer each week.

    Well, i was gunna buy a friends sk1500 so he could step up to a sk2500 but he backed out. Hopefully i can just order a new one soon. Being bassless is killing me!

    Installed my volt meter today! Looks clean, and cant wait to see what voltage it sits at when everything gets installed. Hope it doesnt drop to low!

    going to run them at 1 ohm, so going to order 2 dual 4's. I dont think my little 95 amp alt will handle running at .5 very well. lol Thanks Will! Greatly appreciate it!

    Alrighty, going to catch up on what I have done already. I swapped my POS front stock speakers (which were totally rotted out!) for some SKAR RPX 6.5" coaxials. Eventually will swap these to the back when I can order some Skar components for the front, untill then these will do. Still running them off just deck power. Here are the old and the new! Ran my 0 gauge, remote wire, and rca's over the past weekend and pulled it up through the floor for a clean look.

    Alrighty, figured I would just start a build thread in the Skar Audio board. This one is gunna take a while to get done, but that is what us college students have to do. Anyways, this is going to be a full skar audio build up, planing on doing skar components in front, coaxials in the back, 1 Skar SK 1500.1, and 2 Skar VVX v2 15"s in a ported box. Going to be tuned at 31hz. All home built/installed and self designed box. Just a good setup in a car that you wouldn't give a second look.
