  7. what amps are you using for either set up? 1000 watt rms or peak kenwood?
  8. just for clarity, so there's no misinterpretation, Run the RCA's from your head unit, to you amp. then you run the speaker wire from the output on your amp to your crossovers then speaker wire from your crossovers to the speakers HU-------- AMP------ Crossover-----Tweeter/Woofer Eric

  11. Yes, unless the coil is now rubbing, meaning scratching sounds, more friction, and more heat. can you see if you broke/ripped a tinsel lead on the one coil?

  13. sorry for the confusion, i didn't mean it would handle more power, but it was noticeably louder to the ear on the same amount of power when turned up.
  14. i once went form a single 12 to a single 15, comparable in specs, and both in recommended ported boxes tuned mid 30's both the subs sounded the same, hit the same on lows and same output, UNTIL i'd go to turn it up, the 12 will plateau but the 15 will be able to go noticeably louder do to the fact it was pushing more air
