  1. Finally someone has done a video or review of Themal Block. Thanks and that looks great. I bought 4 sheets of it to do eventually on my Blazer's hood and under my exhaust and lower firewall. Looks like it is sticking pretty well in the video. Maybe Ant can chime in, but how well does the adhesive stay stuck in the elements (heat & cold) and how does this product hold up to weather when installed on the outside of the vehicle such as under the exhaust/floor bed, floor pan underneath, lower firewall, etc? Should the edges be sealed to protect it from moisture, oil & grime or is it good to go just like it is? Thanks again and glad I bought this product to help control heat within my Blazer.
  2. Instead of starting a new thread, could someone answer a question on running a negative wire from front battery to back battery for ground; Can it run under the vehicle alongside and next to the positive run of wire from front to back? Not touching or anything, but just run along side by side with the positive cable run? Just curious if it would case any interference or problems. Thanks.
  3. Couple of videos are on Mechman website: http://www.mechman.com/videos.php
  4. Does this include the JVC kd-avx77? By the way, what is your opinion on it good or bad?
  5. What is your impression on the Eclipse CD 5030. I kind of like the looks of it and what it has to offer, plus the price seems pretty reasonable for what you get. Example: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_099CD5030/Ecl...=5684&avf=N
  6. AutoSoundLab in Fresno, CA is listed as a carrier. (559) 227-8357 5153 N Blackstone Ave Fresno, CA 93710
  7. Not sure what ohm load you want, but this looks to be a great deal for a brand new amp for a total shipped price of $179 : http://www.crutchfield.com/p_020DPX1155/Cl...n-DPX11551.html $20 off coupon code good until the end of August: 3A825
  8. Hi Ray, I am kinda confused on these crossovers and figured you would know best about them. Can these crossovers accomodate 2 midbass, mid & tweet per side? http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/Doc/pdf_3W20.pdf In the link above, it does not look like there is a place for the additional midbass woofer and then I have heard from others that say you cannot run double midbasses from that crossover. Another person said that is exactly what he ran off a 2 channel amp (Zapco 750.2) and was what had originally intrigued me about those crossovers. I have 2 sets of the HSK 165 components and was wondering the best way to run them upfront, that is why I thought about maybe running double midbass, mid & tweet. Would running just the 2 sets of 2-way comps that I currently own with their own seperate crossovers that are included work or would it be a major headache getting it to sound right together? I'm looking mostly for a good sounding system, not into SPL, but would like to be able to hear everything and be able to turn it up sometimes. I see alot of people saying to only run one 2-way set, but since I have 2 sets, it would be nice to utilize both of them. I just liked the idea of adding the mids and new crossover to it all, but not sure if it would work and I'm looking for your suggestions. I will eventually get down to see you guys personally, but I'm currently disabled with limited mobility, so I am trying to figure out some things online while I have idle time. As far as installing them properly, that will not be a problem because I will be having you guys do it for me as soon as I get some restoration done on my truck and can physically be able to get down there eventually.
  9. Looking to run 2 woofers per door and would like to find these crossovers at a reasonable price. I have 2 new sets of Hertz HSK 165 components to use, but not these crossovers. Also looking for the HL 70 midrange to possibly add to the frontstage. (From last years models, not the newly updated versions so they match my component sets).

  11. Wow, those JVC decks look nice this year. This one looks to have quite a bit of features for the price and it looks pretty good as well. The KD-AVX77 CD/DVD unit looks cool as well and I really like it, but at a higher price. Sorry to ask these questions on your thread, hope you don't mind, just didn't want to start a new thread for similiar questions. I was curious about what Ray's opinion on this JVC line is compared to what else he sells in his shop like the top offerings from Pioneer and Alpine.
  12. Pretty Close ones, although I have no personal experience with them: No Front Aux, but does have rear I believe. 1. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_099CD5030/Ecl...b=detailed_info 2. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130P710BT/Pio...tures_and_specs
  13. Do you have an altenator you carry that is simliar to this model: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...RK%3AMEWAX%3AIT I will be putting it in a 1970 Blazer K5 I am fixing up and will eventually have a stereo system installed. I am interested in one within the 200-300 amp range. Thanks
