    It's not. The elite series is the way to go whether it be the 250 or 370.

    Bigger isn't always better when it comes to Alts. I'd rather have a smaller alt that does more at idle than a bigger alt that does less at idle but more at 2k Rpms.

    I prefer to err on the more than I need side. My system is going to be around 1100 rms and im planing to have around 200(potential) amps at idle a d3400 underhood and a small batt in the back to support that.

    Nice easy transaction and the items arrived within a resonable timeframe. Items are in decent condition aside from some minor scratches that don't matter anyways as they are getting painted. I would not hesitate to do business with him in the future.

    Yes but their coils actual dcr is .7 for the 1 ohm and 1.4 for the 2 ohm.

    Smd rca's didn't exist when he did the Tahoe rebuild and if you saw the build pics you'd see it doesn't look like it would be a fun time to tear everything out to replace them.Also he is sponsored by rockford.

    I answered your question and I was not rude at all. if you were an engineer you should understand that it would increase the volume and therefore have a negative displacement seeing as how it is a cone shape that would be sticking out of the enclosure. If you are looking for the surface area of the cone and surround that is the sd. Welcome to the forum.

    It would actually be increasing enclosure volume not taking it away do to the cone being cone shaped. Seriously do not even calculate it as it would not change anything enough to actually matter. So let's call it 0.000 ft^3

    Curious as to why you didn't use the grounding stud? I know it's not necessarily needed but i figured with the way you do everything you'd use it for sure. It sure is one hell of a nice looking alt too.

    Well you posted in the mechman forum so I was assuming you were looking at a mechman alt. I'm sure if you give them a call they will go over everything with you and help you get what you are after.

    Since you're only running less than 2k and im assuming its a daily I'd get what ever alt will give you most output at idle. It may not be their biggest alt out there but you don't need them biggest one anyways. Whatever you go with make sure it's a hairpin 6 phase. Did you have a specific alt you were looking at?

    The alt will charge them fine but You should still charge them with a battery charger sometimes. once every week or so should be good.
