  1. Hey there, I have two 15" Earthquake DBXI subwoofers that are currently in a sealed enclosure and I'm looking to go ported. My car is a 2003 Monte carlo - My amp is an Alpine 1k - The trunk space available is 36" wide - 31" Deep - 16" Tall The subwoofers are 6 3/8" from the bottom of the mounting bracket to the bottom of the magnet if that helps I listen to a lot of rap (Gucci Mane, Future, etc) and I'm a huge fan of low bass (Decaf <3) but I'd still like to be able to handle mid range bass also Im not opposed to any style of box I Just want it to sound better Please let me know if you need any more info! Will appreciate any help someone can give!
  2. So I have two subzeros both needed a recone; we had both the kits sitting at my work so I did one and fucked it up because of inexperience. But after a little practice I got the second one to work and it was dual 1 ohm. so I emailed Earthquake and they no longer make or have dual 1 ohm voice coils. so my question is can I run a Dual 1 ohm sub in series @ 2 and a dual 4 ohm sub in parallel @ 2, then parallel both together to get 1 ohm? and can i use these subs in the same box?
  3. Came across this today. Interesting design and would probably be fun to play around with. Probably more use to the home theater crowd though, and even then passive radiators aren't popular. Not sure the one with a sub and PR mounted on the same module is a good idea, but could be interesting if it was 2 subs. Of course you could just build this sort of thing in with traditional drivers/PRs when making an enclosure, but it's cool all the same
  4. Hey guys! im wondering if anybody here that builds custom subs can give me some info. I just got another subzero so i pulled the motor off and threw it on the bottom of my 12" holees Basket. But, the mounting holes dont line up perfectly so i kinda just had to make it work. i just wanted to know if this would properly center the basket on the motor? and i just wanted to see if this configuration would work? im really excited about this sub and i hope i can make it work!
