Rotts are great.. I had a rescue Rotty for 18 months that i kept until a home became available and he was a loyal companions and great family dogs...Any dog breed can be aggressive its all in how much attention you show your animal and how you train them...A rott is great animal though bro

I will always question the truth to that. My sister has owned a Chinese Shar Pei since it was under a week old and has treated it like it was her son since the day she got it. I have never in my life seen somebody treat a dog as good as her as a matter of fact. If he took a fat shit on her pillow after she had a long day at work, she wouldn't even do a thing about it. However, he is now 11 years old and has several incidents under his belt. Lets face it, there are some dogs that are simply violent breeds.

Did the dog have ANY discipline, or did the dog "walk all over her" like your sister was in the dogs house?

the bolded portion was indeed an exaggeration (unfortunate that internet text can't emphasize that) he was trained very well. he was an obedient dog and yes, like every dog, discipline was necessary to achieve these things. he is MUCH more obedient and was trained much more frequently than my Beagle of the same age who was abused prior to my ownership of him who has never left a scratch on somebody.

hahah thanks! it used to be a "quick get the camera" thing but we soon realized that they sit like this EVERY SINGLE DAY haha....its hilarious but not out of the ordinary anymore. Lucky is a great dog and Rock is even greater due to how good his temperment is. And any dog CAN be raised to be vicious. They can be raised good and still end up being bad dogs, just like people can......but your chances of having a good dog are better when you raise them right. Same for Pits.

actually some dogs are simply violent DOGS, just like some people are wired different from birth......"breeds" is a stretch. My brother was "raised" just like i was and he is an animal now who has spent all his life in prison and cant get his act together to save his own ass....so i guess a dog can have a screw loose no matter what kind it is. In fact dont put your hand to close to either one of my chihuaua's or you will get bit. And they are both spoiled rotten.

Well said Steve.....I couldnt agree more.....I used to work at a shop and next door to the shop was a Sketchy family that would bring home odd puppies every once in a while and tie them to a tree in the yard next to a dog house and trow some food at it once in a while....no attention no love no vet care NOTHING....well this one pitbull they had seemed nasty as hell barking and growling at everyone who walked by....one day we were eating lunch and we got to talking how we hadnt seen anyone at the house in days...the dog had no water and no food....we brough some food over and our plan was to use a 10ft 2x4 to push it to him in a box so he could eat.....well the close we got the more barking and growling he did but eventually that changes to whining and tail wagging....he was soo sweet he let us feed him and pet him....one of the fiberglass guys brought him home and cleaned him up and he was a great dog....took some time to train him but overall what we thought was a violent killer was just a scared helpless dog tied to a tree with no love.....

meade your dogs are legit lol but seems as though its a big baby but can be protective which is what i want,

thats exactly the kind of dog he is. My previous rotts (RIP Mickey and Kilo) were the same way.

if you met Rock and i was standing there with you, he would probably bark and make you shit your draws.......he has BASS in his voice for SURE. But after he realizes the coast is clear and your good with me, he chills out and just wants to be petted. If you do he wont leave your side till you stop and keeps coming back for more lolz.

its not the breeds but how the dog is raised and the dog in general. I've been around pit bulls that are nicer than any other dogs but they have a bad rep anyways because of dog fights around here.

bro, that is Lucky's story....left outside in the cold with his brother and mother with nothing but an occasional table scrap tossed outside to eat. He never even had REAL dog food till we got him and he was in AWEFUL shape. Ringworm, heartworms, bloated belly, tape worms. The whole nine. He didnt even have white fur, he was GREY and had speckles on his skin. He is in GREAT shape now, about $800 vet bills later lol.....and you can tell now he is grateful and LOVES his new house. He is teh worlds most spoiled and loved dog now......even Rocky spoils him. Its like he knows...

and since then, Luckies brother died from exposure......so Lucky really is lucky and i hope those owners die like he did, starving and cold. I have no love for animal abusers.
