canderton01
The air leaking out really sounds like shit, doesn't it? I say go with the ring idea. Even out of metal if you can. haha yea it does, at times it makes like this high pitched chirping sound. I was so pissed last night when I first dropped the sub in.. iKidwell
If anything it'll drop tuning because it will pull a little bit of the sub out of the box giving less displacement.. Quote c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress
Ji553r
tuning should be slightly lower since your adding the baffle to the already made box then sub displacement will be slightly less, making the box bigger on the inside. it wont be noticeable though.......actually it will because you wont be leaking air around the sub anymore so it will stop sounding like shit EDIT: ^^ninja'd Edited February 16, 2011 by Ji553r Quote I don't fuck around. canderton01
Ok yeah lower tuning is fine, especially if it's not even going to be noticable. Even with a leaky box, it still hits pretty hard! I'm running it on an AQ1200d and it's got a shitty ground too(I plan on fixing that today I just threw it in last night because I was excited lol). Thanks again for all the help guys Quote 2002 Camry XLE 35% tints all around 17'' Enkei FD-05 rims Fi Q15 in 3.8cu ft box tuned to 32Hz Pioneer DEH-P7200HD AudioQue AQ1200d 4 Gauge Tsunami wiring/RCA's mids/highs - OEM JBL system AudioTechnix Deadner Big 3 upgrade My YouTube
