jbondox
I think this is awesome that a manufacturer recognized the needs of those with disabilities. VPG Autos, designed the MV-1, the first true mobility vehicle designed from the ground up I have been working with them closely on a project, and will get to operate one on Friday (25th) I posted this only because I am a car and audio nut, I don't sell cars... I make them better Anyways, I did the official press release earlier today click here If you have a family member or friend close by to us and they want to try it out, let me know and I will try to arrange it Quote SMD SuperSeller VerifiedJbondoXJames Shields

nautical7
Looks pretty good, I'd just hope it's at least affordable for people who need a vehicle like this.
jbondox
It is, a similar hacked up dodge caravan would be around $60k, this is $40k. Now I worked on a few of those hacked up caravans over my time as an installer, and they are... well... hacked up. also the vehicle has been crash tested, in the taxi version which is the same vehicle for taxi fleets, the only difference is the colors, and a bit more plush for the consumer version. The deck which the wheel chair sits on has 2 tie down areas which have exceeded the 10k lb strength test. The are being built at the AM General plant, and are using a modified Hummer H2 frame/chassis I wish one of our domestic car manufacturers would of done this before an investment group came along and did it. Actually I wish I would of thought of it... Quote SMD SuperSeller VerifiedJbondoXJames Shields
