I've honestly never heard of someone smoking a knob or amp because of the wrong knob.

I can't see it, unless you're an idiot and you jam the knob into the amp, thus grounding something out.

It has nothing to do with jaming the knob isn't the amp, I don't see how that would make a difference.

I'm not saying it has happened, but its possible.

Plus BakermanINC just post in this thread he smoked a knob...but you have never heard of it.

different wiring in the knobs. maybe the way one knob is wired will create a short in a different amp. you just dont know.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

There are way to many variables involved to just say that he burned a knob because its a different company.

Like what?

Are you really trying to argue its ok to try different knobs in different amps, as you don't see anyway it can cause any harm?

I don't believe i ever said it was ok to try different knobs.

I'm just stating the fact that when bakerman tried a different knob, there could have been other things wrong with his system that caused smoke. Such as something loose in the amp itself that grounded out the knob.

Like skittles said, you never know.
